First off, let me say that the staff was wonderful, all of them. The infirmary was staffed with wonderfully caring folks (I had an adverse medication reaction that had NOTHING to do with Carnival; NOT their fault at all). All other faults I mention here are purely at management level & above.
The ship itself is an eyesore. Period.
Dining is adequate & nothing more.
Embarkation was okay, ...
We went on this Cruise because it was the itinerary we wanted for the Panama canal but we will never go on carnival again! We will be sticking to Royal Caribbean.
The shore excursions were great but pretty much anything having to do with onboard sucked! The shows were so loud I couldn't stay for any of them, the food was not good, I ordered breakfast to my room every morning with extra cereal ...
First time cruiser, so had to jot some thoughts down when now at home.
Firstly, my hats off to the fantastic Playlist singers/dancers...what a troup. I was blown away by their skill in dancing, the choreography, and fantastic singing, all whilst moving and dancing incredible routines...athleticism incredible,. The "Rock" night and Motown nights were my all time favourites, but every ...
Nice ship, lots to do, food was mediocre, in the dining room sit down service was slow, food never really hot, rushed service, but the staff were friendly, kind, but over worked. The staff all over the ship were really nice and friendly! They made the cruise enjoyable. I did not have one negative. The coffee was bad, except the good stuff I paid for...should be less expensive...Guys Burgers are ...
Prior to this cruise, my last experience on Carnival (Paradise) was horrendous. Never the less we gave them another chance and we found the Legend to be a very clean ship with a great crew. I was impressed with the level of hospitality exuded by mostly all of the crew. Seeing people deep cleaning different areas (at the less busier times) was nice. The upkeep pays off for them because the ship is ...
We traveled with a large group of family/friends on the Carnival Legend in June 2012. There were several experienced cruisers in our group who were experiencing the Legend for the first time, and much of what I am going to write here was influenced by their comparisons to other cruise ships or cruise lines. As first time cruisers, my husband, 11-year-old daughter, and I were very excited to ...
Overall, I'd say the Carnival Legend 7 day out of Tampa is a great trip for the money. Our family, including dd7, are regular cruisers, and while this was not the best cruise ever, it certainly was well worth it and I would go again on this ship and itinerary without hesitation.
We stayed the night before at Hyatt Place, booked on Hotwire for $68, and would stay there again for the price. ...
Just returned from the Christmas Cruise on Carnival Legend today. It is early in the morning (6:30 AM) and my thoughts are fresh. This was our second family Holiday cruise and our sixth overall and the consensus was that we would do it again but we have some criticisms compared to previous cruises. I have two older sons; 23 and 25 and we all stayed in an extended balcony stateroom. It was ...
This was my third year in a row on the Legend.
Overall, excellent cruise, great ship, nice itinerary, and mostly good staff.
Our group of five consists of all singles 29-34 from Atlanta.
I found a new hidden gem in Tampa. We stayed Saturday night at the Tahitian Inn and Spa. $79 for a VERY nice room and this included free parking for all three of our cars for all 8 days as ...
This was my second cruise with Carnival(first was on the Carnival Conquest)-my fiance's second. We arrived in Tampa a day early and spend the night at a hotel. Embarkation was fairly hectic but overall not bad :)
Thought that the decor was a little old and tacky. Was had a buffet style lunch and then made our way down to our balcony room. Enjoyed the free samples that were in the ...
