The "Freedom" was an amazing ship. This was my 4th cruise and we have the best time so far. We stayed in room 2473 which is a back corner room with two windows. The extra floor space in the room was awesome. There was some motion but not bad more like being rocked to sleep. The food in the main dining room was fantastic. The best food we've ever had on a cruise. Everything was fresh, hot ...
Freedom Ship
We sailed with a party of 39 people, this is my 7th cruise on Carnival, my third out of Galveston. This was by far the best cruise I have ever been on. That is including the Royal Caribbean cruises I have sailed. The food was delicious. I never ordered from the extended menu at the dining room but my husband ordered Lobster twice and he loved it. We ate in the dining room six ...
I chose this cruise because the dates matched when we could travel. This cruise exceeded my expectations in most areas.
Food: The food was exceptional. We did the Chef's Table experience, and it was truly memorable. We enjoyed meeting Chef Panda and Sous Chef Rebel. The kitchen tour showed how hard the Carnival staff works to make your dining experience the best possible. The dining room staff ...
My mom and I went on this cruise with my daughter and her husband. My daughter is in her mid-20's and in a wheelchair. So first, I want to write about her experiences. She found it difficult to navigate around the ship in the wheelchair. On our way to breakfast, the hallways were full of cleaning supplies and towels, and it was very hard to get down the hallways. But the very worst problem ...
This was one of the best vacations my wife and I have ever been on. This was our first cruise...and won't be our last. There were just a couple of hiccups, but, overall it was amazing!! Carnival may be one of the cheaper lines, but the service was out of this world! We received room service everyday with turn down service in the evenings. Plus, the wait staff for dinner was exceptional! You get to ...
Another memorable trip with Carnival.
This places us in the "gold" category with thirty-plus days on the water over a period of 25 years , and Carnival still can deliver a terrific experience. The embarkation effort was a bit frustrating if you don't follow their instructions, but still that many people trying to get aboard is just a tough thing to accomplish. All in, we sat waiting for maybe ...
This was our first cruise. We have 2 sons - 19 & 16. They enjoyed it as well. There was some initial frustration that we couldn't figure out how to get from one place to another on the same floor. Because of the restaurants, you have to go up or down a floor, go across and then back to the original floor you want. By the 2nd or 3rd day we were able to figure it out. I wish that there was a ...
Having never cruised before, this is a true review. The ship was wonderful. It had all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. My wife and I did 7 nights on the Freedom and loved every night of it. The only two complaints that we had:
1. They closed the top Serenity Decks way to early. My wife and I are nights owls and we wanted to hot tub under the stars....not so much.
2. We NEVER ate at ...
I am a seasoned cruiser, over 35 cruises 6 lines.
Dining room. Freedom does well with many meats, filet mignon, ribs, lamb, and chicken. It is not so good with fish. Try the sea day brunches, really pretty good. Service will depend on waiters. If your not happy tell them early. Formal nights are 2 on a 7 day cruise. Many people wear shorts. It's kind of a joke.
Lido buffet. About average. ...
This was our 3rd cruise, though our first with our 7 yr old. We sailed Carnival 9 yrs ago and RC 11 yrs ago. Our first day was amazing, embarking took about 20 minutes - the fastest ever. We ate lunch at Guy's Burgers - very good and had a delicious piece of chocolate cake from the buffet. Next we explored the Ocean Club. I noticed right away that the Stingray room (for ages 6-8) was very warm and ...
