Carnival Brisbane Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Carnival Spirit

My wife, daughter (her 1st cruise) and we had the worst Cruise experience yet. 4 visits to guest services the 1st day. 18 people on our trip, 4 families. 1) they made us book 2 rooms for 3 people. 2) rooms keys didn't work 3) confiscated my bottle of wine 4) I had a drink pkg, so I got 1 beer and then proceeded to Lido Deck where we bought 3 lanyards, and sign for them. 5) Gust ...

Not Worth It.

Old, run down cruise ship. Most of the staff were unenthusiastic (except for a handful that were accommodating), food was pretty average and the rooms were clean but outdated. Issues with tenders being released from the ship to port caused massive delays - I really enjoyed sweltering in the hot sun for over an hour. The best part was the lack of entertainment for adults. There were three ...

Not the best from Carnival

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Carnival Luminosa

I have cruised 10 or more times now on various different ships and cruise lines. I am usually a fan of the Carnival brand, however not on this ship. It lacked in so many areas compared to other ships. Lack of bar staff around common areas and dinning room. Dinning room lacked in service. Getting drinks at desert time and inconsistent food servings. Lack of general cleaning around ...

The Christmas cruise on Carnival Luminosa was expected to be very busy and full of families. As a family ourselves, we had a good time but felt some areas could be improved that are within the control of the crew. But I start with the positives: Good: 1) The cabins were very good, with lots and lots of storage space, clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. 2) The onboarding ...

Luminosa is a mid-sized ship by today's standards; we found it generally clean and well-maintained. There was a small amount of vibration in places but very little engine or exhaust noise as found on other ships we have been on. It seems like a quiet, solid ship although we had very calm sailing and couldn't assess her stability. We found the air conditioning a bit cold for comfort in some ...

Good value should not compromise service

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Carnival Luminosa

The cruise was a good value for monry. Positives: easy embarkation and disembarkation, well oganised tender to the shore, night shows were just OK. Disapointments: adult pool at the back was dirty, you could see residual oil on the handels of the entry steps, water very salty, I took shower as soon as I left the pool, never went back again. Buffet on level 9, one side of buffet was getting colsed ...

Carnival No Longer Cares

Carnival Spirit is old and has not updated for over 8 years. Even when updated lots of original items remain; bathrooms and carpets are outdated. Food gets worse each year, especially for someone who prepares meals each day with fresh food. Long lines everywhere. Transportation from airport to ship is horrific! Not worth paying for this service, figure on waiting hours at the airport ...

Borderline at best.

I like to cruise and when I do I prefer it to be to new locations and on different ships. The Luminosa has made me question this approach given I definitely didn't get the ship I expected. The Luminosa apparently and sold as recently refurbished, if that is the case I would have hated to see it before, a rebranding might be more accurate. ie sticking Carnival stickers where Costa once ...

In a nutshell; Great service and a really entertaining onboard show but the ship is in need of repair and update. Staterooms were shockingly bad. Considering this ship was supposedly refurbished after being bought from Costa, the most difference I could tell was new carpets in communal areas and new signage. Multiple areas of the staterooms and ship were in need of an update or repair. The ...

We cruise every Halloween (and then some) and can always find something to eat that is different and nice. Not this time. We are easy to please, but....this was bad. I heard so many people making the same comments that I am leaving here, it was a common theme! The bad: The food was not good The "buffet" was extremely limited - and recycled. I know its a small ship but having 5 items is just ...
