In a nutshell; Great service and a really entertaining onboard show but the ship is in need of repair and update.
Staterooms were shockingly bad. Considering this ship was supposedly refurbished after being bought from Costa, the most difference I could tell was new carpets in communal areas and new signage. Multiple areas of the staterooms and ship were in need of an update or repair. The ship itself looks quite tired and if you told me it was from the 80s I'd believe you - yellow lights and brown tones galore
We did have great service though! The bar staff were very quick and efficient, and the wait staff in the Main Dining Room were very friendly. The food was very average but I still enjoyed it. The wait staff were happy to accommodate our requests of extra entrees and salad/ vegetable as we found we were somewhat hungry. Good wine selections too.
Our booking had two rooms and both rooms had multiple handles on drawers/ cabinets broken (handle is a pull-loop made of material similar to a hair tie) including the cabinet holding our lifejackets. My only gripe about the bathroom about it is that it had a shower curtain instead of a glass door. The shower curtain was yellowed and looked old and the wall-mount body wash dispenser was a bit loose on the wall.
There were faulty seals on the balcony doors resulting in very loud whistling sounds in windy conditions. On several occasions our balcony doors swung open while trying to sleep, as well as randomly during the day while windy outside. This occurred even when using the door lock/ bolt as the door shook so much while bolted that it would shimmy the lock loose. I had the worst sleep of my life because of it, and I'm not being dramatic. I was incredibly sleep deprived.
