Carnival Barcelona Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Ship: Carnival Sunshine Embarkation: Barcelona, Spain Debarkation: Barcelona, Spain Nights: 12 Ports: Monaco, Livorno, Civitavecchia, Naples, Dubrovnik, Venice, Messina Carnival has had lots of problems recently, on both their own line and on Costa, which they own. They hired a reckless captain who killed innocent passengers in Italy. They stranded ship after ship without power, leaving ...

My family decided to take this cruise for my parents 30th wedding anniversary that coincides with my sister and mothers birthday. We had no children it was my parents, myself and my sister and her husband. The itinerary was amazing but we were warned in advance that you get what you pay for and that carnival had a reputation and it certainly lived up to it. We arrived in Barcelona and the check ...

The rooms are very nice. Staff nice. Ship is nice, except for the lack of a large pool. We did discover Tip1-use guest services desk on advice on how to do your excursion at the easy ports. Tip2-do use the sail and sign kiosk or guest services to keep up with your spending everyday, or watch for mistaken charges, and can contest some charges. Tip3-watch out for sales people everywhere, including ...

We are a family of 7 (English - 3 of us in their 30’s and 4 in their 50’s and 60’s) who stayed in a hotel in Barcelona the night before (21 euros a night in a Travelodge) and visited Camp Nou on the day of arrival which was great. Definitely recommend arriving the day before to spend some time in Barcelona. We got a taxi to the ship and was surprised about how smoothly we got on. Most of us were ...

Second time on a Carnival cruise . First time 4 years ago on the Victory and we were so impressed we really wanted to sail with them again. Sometimes it's just best to hold onto a good memory! The sunshine just didnt impress us at all. The cabin stewards were not the usually chirpy friendly chappies (maybe that was just ours) some things we liked a but overall we'd give it 4/10. The main problem ...

This is a fairley long review! We flew to Barcelona from UK. Embarkation was excellent, we took swimwear so we could enjoy the ships facilities straight away. The Serenity is amazing! To have have such quality sunbeds and furniture, (AND adults only!!!) all included in the price was real bonus. This was our 17th cruise in the 9 years but our first experience with Carnival. We had followed the ...

Without Prejudice. We were a party of 6 adults travelling on the Carnival Sunshine. Of these, one was my elderly mother - aged 85, and my learning disabled sister aged 47. Both used wheelchairs to get around. My husband and I have been cruising for 18 years, this was our first experience with Carnival. In order to depict a fair image of what we experienced, let me start with the positives. These ...

Very worried about this cruise after a lot of bad reviews recently. These people must have been on a different ship. Boarding was excellent - no lines straight onto ship, although i would NOT choose to have airport transfer again as Carnival kept us waiting at the airport for 1hr 20mins which was why we were very late getting onto the ship. Cabin 8129 & 8125 were lovely and very comfortable, no ...

This was the second cruise my wife and I enjoyed. The previous was 3 years ago on the Norwegian Gem from Venice on the Eastern Med Route. Again we booked a stateroom with balcony and would always recommend anybody to spend the extra money for the relative luxury of watching the views from your room as you leave a port or travel along the coast. On arrival at Barcelona airport on Friday morning, ...

Ok, don't get me wrong here, this was still a cruise, and it was our honeymoon, and we had a great time. However, it's probably the worse ship we've been on. Except maybe the one where we got bed bugs, maybe. Down to business: Food: Pro: Food was AMAZING. Definitely get the Caribbean chocolate cake, everything else was great as well. The Mahi Mahi on the last night was a bit dry, but it tends ...
