I would really love to give this cruise 5 stars and I probably would have If guest services was not in the picture. I went with a wedding party with over 60 people. The food, entertainment and staff are all incredible. However, guest services is not. If you have an issue and have to rely on them, be prepared for nothing to happen and have to jump through hoops to get anything resolved. We had a ...
My wife and I chose this cruise due to its convenience sailing from Boston. This was our first sailing on NCL and our last. The poor experience began at embarkation and continued for seven days. We were provided a time to check in and board and were herded like cattle for three hours then finally let on. The food provided at the buffet was virtually inedible, after a day or two my wife ate ...
I went on this cruise as part of a group of five others. I shared an outside cabin with a balcony. The ship is smaller than normal which made things a little too cozy. The deck pool was tiny and the three "jacuzzis" were lukewarm. In order to get a "warm" jacuzzi, I had to pay almost $200 extra to gain access to the spa for one week then they had issues with the temperature regulation element ...
We live in western MA so leaving out of Boston was perfect. We were 4 families with 4 children. Took us about 1hr and 45 minutes to get there and as soon as we were on board the party began. At sea we all did our own thing, (trivia, swimming, bingo, exercise, line dance, casino or just relax and maybe read a book). We all got together to have dinner together and went to the shows together which ...
My Mom and I really enjoyed our cruise. The staff on the Dawn were so attentive to my mother, who uses a wheelchair and a cane. I feel like each time we attempted a transfer in and out of her transport chair, someone was there to hold the chair or flip the foot rests up and down, no one was asked, staff just know what to do and don't hesitate to jump in.
I read plenty of reviews complaining ...
While the ship was relatively nice (I've been on better), I wasn't wowed by anything on board. It had decent amenities, but it was near impossible to find anywhere to sit. Seating was more difficult outside because on the entire port side of the ship, they allow smoking. That's on deck 7, outside (so if you want to take a nice evening walk, for one half of the walk, you're walking through ...
This was our fifth cruise with NCL - our third on the Norwegian Dawn since our first cruise on her in 2012. The ship had been recently renovated, so looked nicer than our previous cruises, but we are concerned about two specific unsavory issues that affected our enjoyment of this past cruise.
The first issue was that with the remodel, the former complementary Garden Café Buffet lost space to ...
We had an excellent trip on the Norwegian Dawn Boston-to-Bermuda Cruise! IT was a great way to see the beautiful island, and a fabulous way to get there!
Purpose: This trip was a family vacation. My husband and I have 3 girls under 6. We were traveling with a party of 23 that included grandparents and other family members. The trip was booked as a group.
Embarkation: The embarkation process ...
This would be out fifth time on the Dawn and we love it. The embankment and disembarkation was smooth. Staff is very friendly and always makes you feel at home. Food was good went to two specialty restaurants La Cauccina and the new Mexican one, both really good. Had two balcony rooms and they where wonderful. By the way the even number staterooms are the side facing Bermuda. We parasailed in ...
This was my family’s first cruise together. We had a wonderful time. The service was excellent, especially Rey, our poolside waiter. He was so attentive and pleasant. We really enjoyed him. Our housekeeper did a fantastic job and was also very pleasant. The food and service at restaurants was fantastic. We enjoyed the shows at the Stardust theater greatly. The last show, the comedian and the ...
