A group of us from church went on this cruise Basel to A-Dam on the AMA Certo and it was great! My wife and I began with 2 days in Zurich followed by 2 in Lucerne Switzerland. Our travel agent suggested AMA Waterways for our first river cruise. We selected cruising from Basel to Amsterdam with the pre-cruise option that included tours of Zurich, Lucerne and Basel. We pre-paid for AMA transfer from the Zurich airport, but it appeared that hiring a taxi on your own would have been easy. You will need Swiss francs.
