Our first river cruise after many big sea cruises, and it was fantastic! Avalon did everything top notch. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and went out of their way to make sure that everything was great. Floating down the river was so relaxing and the scenery was beautiful.

We had done Amsterdam to Basel in 2018, and Paris-Normandy-Paris in 2019. This was our third cruise, and in our opinion, the best so far. Poetry II was immaculate and the crew and staff were friendly, competent, courteous and professional. As usual, the food was superb with excellent wine accompaniments. I chose this cruise because thirteen friends and family were going on cruise. Unfortunately, I was the only one who made it. Two got covid, and the others cancelled because cruise was shortened to four nights, due to strikes in France. I was already in Paris so I decided to take the abbreviated cruise.
