Better than the first time

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Allure of the Seas

This was the second time that we travelled on the Allure o/t Seas. 1. The most impressive improvements were embarkation and debarkation. Not doubt RC has done a great job with Terminal A at Miami cruise port and the new procedure. Getting on board worked like a breeze. Also impressive reentry to the US just with facial recognition! 2. The second improvement to mention is the new RC ...

My girlfriend and I sailed on a 7-night Western Caribbean cruise Nov 11 on Allure of the Seas. This was our 9th cruise on a Royal Caribbean ship and our first on an Oasis Class vessel. Embarkation We embarked from the brand new Terminal A in Miami. Since it was a new terminal there are still some kinks to be worked out. The traffic flow needs to be looked at critically and adjusted to ...

Large ship. Great for kids.

This is the largest ship we have been ion. I will say that I didn’t need my usually motion sickness patch. It was very smooth but too big for us and too many kids for us (with grown kids). Cabins didn’t have much storage space. Only two tiny drawers. We did not find the service as good. We chalked it up to having so many extra people on board. Not that service was bad. They were just too ...

Seven days just enough for Allure of the Seas

The Allure of the Seas is a massive ship that feels much smaller than it is. Embarking in Fort Lauderdale we drove from Orlando and had an easy time of it, luggage drop off was smooth, but getting into the parking lot was a bit difficult. The signs are small and the taxis were blocking much of the way. Getting aboard itself was easy with Royal Caribbean's expedited arrival system. A host ...

It's really big!!!

I wanted to try the big ship, and it is really big, although being this big brings less focus. There is a list of things to do every day but most of it is self led or not of interest to me. We had a balcony room with ocean view, on deck 12. The room was adequate, and had enough room for a couch. I have been on 17 cruises and my first cruise was on the enchantment of the seas, a much smaller ...

Hesitant due to size but very good cruise

We are pretty loyal HAL cruisers but liked this itinerary. Since we are used to smaller ships, was not sure if we would like this. Overall, enjoyed it and would repeat. On boarding, we were confused about finding our stateroom, 10635. Room numbers only went up to 700. As soon as it hit us that that meant deck 10, room 635, we never had a problem with that. Here are my pros and cons. Cons ...

We sailed on allure of the seas 9/9-9/17. Overall it was great cruise! We flew in the night before and stayed at the embassy suites. Uber was cheaper on all trips to/from airport and cruise port. Embarkment Wow. What a difference from a couple years ago. We arrived at 11:15 and was onboard by 11:20. No joke. Utilize all pre-trip options and paperwork. Stateroom We were is 8726. ...

I sailed onboard this ship (and didn't give it a very good review) some weeks ago, so I decided to give it another try. I'm glad I did! This 7 night Western Caribbean trip was much more enjoyable. There were no problems concerning Roatan (Honduras), which was the subject of my dis-satisfaction last time. This ship is attractive and in the most part, kept clean. The guests onboard were ...

First time RCL Family Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Allure of the Seas

This was our fourth family cruise and first on RCL. Our previous 3 cruises were all on Carnival: Liberty and Carnival Dream (2). We had not cruised as a family in over 5 years, opting instead for some wonderful all inclusive resort vacations. We figured it was time to give cruising another try. Our twin boys are now 11 years old and the cruise experience would be MUCH different than it was when ...

The ship Was so beautiful. I loved the walks in Central Park and hearing the birds during the day and critics at night. The ship was always clean. The staff were all exceptional from housekeeping to the wait staff, even the towel staff.. we enjoyed the zip line, boardwalk was beautiful . We saw movies and enjoyed mamma Mia and blue planet. There’s so much to do the the boat. My boys 17&8 enjoyed ...
