After reading these reviews i was worried about my cruise, however after just returning i have no idea what people are complaining about! The food was fantastic, i've tried a variety of new things swell as having a few classic dishes such as burger, pizza, chips, curries, fish dishes etc… The service was excellent, initially there were a few member of staff complaining out loud to each other but this stopped after the first hour or so. As for the entertainment the shows in the theatre were fantastic. The onboard orchestra were without doubt the highlight of all evenings though, often receiving a louder cheer than the main headline act! All acts were extremely talented and entertaining (what more could you ask for?!) The cruise director staff were all welcoming, friendly and (most of all) entertaining - one person who particularly stood out was Cuddy who I felt was the highlight of the staff for his fun, crazy, unorthodox moments with were extremely funny! Overall brilliant! Read Less

We traveled in a group of 7 on Adventure of the Seas in Aug. '14  Although we had a great holiday as a group, we were very disappointed with some aspects of the cruise. It was our 3rd time with Royal Caribbean. Generally the food in the main dining room was poor. It often arrived cold and often over cooked (especially the fish). I had the worst scallops I have ever tasted. There is no way RCI can boast 'World Class Fine Dining'. It most certainly wasn't. I could have cooked it better myself at home. The food in Windjammer very good considering it is self service. Salads always fresh and delicious. There were gangs of teenagers sending lifts up and down aimlessly and leaving soaking wet pool towels in the lifts, on the stairs and in odd corners of the ship. Regularly saw abandoned plates of food on stairs. One night there was a fight in the night club. The poor victim spent the night in the ships medical centre and the 2 perpetrators put in the slammer. I don't know what happened to them but I hope they were thrown off at the next port. After that more security staff patrolled at night. We were very surprised at the lack of table manners of so many people and their children very badly behaved at meal times. One day by the pool it was 2hours before we saw a waiter taking drinks orders. We have booked P&O for next year. We may give RCI another chance in the future but if we have the same problems again we will sever our love affair with RCI. Read Less

We cruised on the Adventure Of The Seas now in July, and were quite disappointed. We cruised many times and mostly on RCC. The My Time dining did not work at all on this ship. The reception explained that it is not possible to get a reservation at 7:00pm We had to share with other couples, or wait for a table many times even if our booking was for 7:45. After we've complained many times for a week ( in a nice way) They said we can now get a table for 7:00pm. The table was in an area where they scrape the plates, stack plates, drop glasses, and bump out chair to get passed with the serving trolleys and the noise was just overpowering the conversations. We asked after 3 nights there if its not possible to sit at a decent table..... The lady said she will let us know, the next morning they phoned to the cabin and said only that table is available... I said no ways will I sit there again and will report this. When we arrived that evening there was a much better table available for us quiet and pleasant!!! We dined a few in the Windjammer. We found a lot of dishes were repeated every time we were there. The same cookies, same cheesecake, chocolate sensation everyday!!! Wow what happened to variety. The evening shows were weak: Bee gees ,Queen and the RCC dancers . Some elevator buttons needs to be replaced, the safe in our cabin - buttons worn too. The first night when we dined I dropped my serviette and there were so many breadcrumbs under the table. They could not have cleaned there for a long time - it actually looked like they sweped the stuff under the table. We discussed the ship with some fellow regular cruisers and all agree that they don't think much of the ship and service. They are not too impressed with Adventure.... SORRY we will definitely not sail on her again.   Read Less

I was a bit worried after reading many bad reviews, I now don't know what some people are complaining about, the ship was very clean and well looked after. I found the staff very welcoming and in particular Audrian our Stateroom attendant, our waiters Ivan and Omar. Nothing was too much hassle, we had a couple of small issues with soda packages and on board credit, these however were sorted very quickly with a follow up phone call to verify that we were happy. The children loved the cruise, so much that they want us to go on another one next year, I also found the selection of food was good, although I did talk to some people who were not that happy with it..... Really don't understand why ! I seriously could not think of anything else that should have been in the breakfast buffet ! All in all, a brilliant cruise and I will certainly be back on board at some point, met some great people and the kids have made some new friends. (Special thanks to guest services, they went above and beyond to find out the email address of one of my youngest sons new friends and have since exchanged emails) I agree with the previous review about the ports, I think they need to revise the transport available at each port, but all in all, really enjoyed thje stops. Cannot understand any negative reviews. Apart from a few small issues there is nothing really to complain about ! The ship (including our cabin) was very clean. Food - we ate at the 8.30 seating and couldn't fault it all. Our waiters were outstanding - nothing was too much trouble. We also ate in both dining rooms for breakfast and sometimes Windjammer, again brilliant selection. We all loved the coffee shop in the promenade for sandwhiches, pizzas cakes etc (have to mention the coffee was lovely ! ), my daughter ate in Johnny Rockets, for a small cover charge, and said this was very good. We tried all the bars, they were all lovely, depending on whether you fancied a classy champagne bar or an English pub ! Cocktails were nice and reasonably priced, wine was extortionately priced though ! Our group also used room service quite a lot which was excellent ! Shows - went to quite a few of the shows, the Bee Gees was outstanding as was the hypnotist. The singing and dancing shows were good too. The final show was, however, disappointing. My Daughter went to the ice show which she said was really good. I think we took advantage of most of the facilities onboard - golf, rock climbing, ice skating, pool, table tennis, gym, kids clubs ... There really is something for everyone ! Was great for us as we travelled in a group of 9 ages ranging from 12 to mid 70s. The shops/shopping events on board were good, reasonably good prices. Ports of call - shuttle services very poor unless you booked the trips through the cruise (which were very expensive). However, very well organised getting on /off the ship. Kids clubs - excellent, always plenty to do, hardly saw the children ! Staff on board in general very friendly. The only issue we had was with our free drinks package which was for less than we had been told. Guest services were not helpful with this but I have emailed RCI on our return. All in all, a really great holiday - from the ease of checking in (not having to fly !), great overall service and attention to detail, fab food and activities, lovely ports of call and meeting lovely new friends. Would definitely recommend. Read Less
