MSC Eastern Mediteranean Cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Preziosa

I find it hard to believe that I was on the same cruise as other reviewers on this site because of the vast range of opinions, but I suppose everyone wants something different from their cruise experience . I found the embarkation in Venice to run relatively smoothly and yes, we were on quite quickly and happily eating at the buffet around 2pm and luggage did get to our room in a timely manner. I ...

This was was my fourth cruise, the first in Europe. I have cruised with RCCL on Enchantment and Freedom of the Seas and Celebrity Century before. Here are my impressions of this cruise. Interior decor - too many mirrors which I found confusing to deal with until I got used to them, which took me a couple of days. The cabin - just as I expected on a cruise ship, except that the interactive ...

This was our 1st Cruise chosen for the ports of call-Puglia,Greece,Turkey (Istanbul) and ending in Dubrovnik Croatia. The cabin was 5 star with kingsize bed, balcony and good bathroom. The public areas are spectacular-all glitzy and shiny-the ship is only 1 year into service. We found the staff to be polite, multilinqual and well trained. The meals were Ok -nothing special and we included the basic ...

We travelled as a family of four with two toddlers with friends also having two toddlers. Embarkation at Venice a disaster. Pushing, queue jumping and unfriendly staff. Kids club, good and bad - heres the good. One child aged 5 very happy to attend but has English and Italian languages so could understand. The bad - other 3 screamed and hated every bit. The staff don't settle the children in and ...

This is our 6th cruise but first time with MSC. We have sailed on Princess, Royal Carribbean and Celebrity. The Italians does well with their ship. It has the wow factor in its overall appearance from the stateroom to its dining room. Everywhere is spacious. We love the ports visited. However the activities on board were very limited. Even the shows which was great was very short. After waiting ...

We have been on around 10 cruises in the past incuding NCL, RCI, Carnival and Princess. This was our first MSC Cruise and we were impressed with the ship - very swish. However, this is the general review from us and our fellow guests at our dining table. The food in the restaurant was the worst by far that we have experienced. Not cooked well and small portions. The buffet restaurant was fine ...

Just returned from a 7 night cruise on the Preziosa, sailing from Venice to Bari, Katakolon, Izmir, Istanbul, Dubrovnik and back into Venice. We sailed as a family of 4 (2 adults:1 child of 11yrs and and infant of 20 months) over the easter break. Embarkation: We recieved priorty boarding due to having a push chair, which was a very nice surprise- however if we'd joined the 'mass' queue it ...

Firstly the positives: Beautiful new ship, great cabins which are spotless, very good itinerary and extremely good value drinks package which saved us a lot of money. Now the bad! Embarkation at Venice was shambolic - 2 hours herded into holding area with no information or MSC staff around to speak to. We were given a number and eventually when it was called, we were called into another queue to ...

I went on a Mediterranean cruise from Venice on the MSC Preziosa in April 2014 From the moment we arrive at the port it was total chaos taking us over 3 hours to check the whole process was totally disorganized with people irritable especially those with young children. The disorganization continue on board in the main buffet / restaurant which was on the 14th floor. Dawn to Dusk dining here ...
