We booked a late deal which for the length of cruise was a great price. Slightly worried re an inside cabin however it proved better than port hole/window of the past due to clever use of mirrors creating space. Deck 9 aft amazingly quiet. The turn down service was a luxury with towel animals. Our towels were always thick. We didnt bother with a premium drinks package as our usual drinks were well ...
We liked the ship and found the staff very friendly and helpful. They did their best to serve you in the bars and restaurants, and also to try and keep the ship clean.
The singers and musicians in the bars and around the pool where very good. The dancers and singers work very hard and we saw all the shows and enjoyed them.
The food selection in the buffet and main restaurants was good, and ...
The balcony cabin and bathroom was lovely, and maintained to a lovely standard.
The staff are fantastic, with special acknowledgement to Leandro (Atrium Bar), Ni (Sushi restaurant) and Rodrigo (Bar 11), who were exceptional.
The drinks package was well worth the additional £90, with quality premium drinks available.
The main downfall was the food, it was difficult to book into the ...
I thought I would take this opportunity to write a review of our 2 week (7 day back to back ) Caribbean Island Cruise on the Marella Voyager. 21st Jan to 4th Feb 2024. We booked it for my 60th birthday which fell mid holiday. Having only been on one cruise previously ( 10 days Mediterranean on Celebrity ) we stiil feel we are relative novices at this type of holiday. Before I start to make my ...
We have always booked with TUI, and as my uncles 50th birthday was approaching last year we decided to book a cruise around the Caribbean! My aunt and uncle unfortunately had to cancel due to health reasons but myself, mum and dad still went. Our flight out was on the 28th December 2023 and we flew home from Barbados (one of the negative factors, nothing on TUI or Marella though) on the 11th ...
Just back from our Caribbean cruise, which we mostly enjoyed. I did this cruise in 2020 on Explorer 2, which I would say was slightly better than Voyager, mainly because of the food set up. I understand that the object of serving people in the Kitchens is to avoid waste, but I still observed lots of half finished plates being left, so they need to go back to self serving buffet, which would avoid ...
It's probably common knowledge but in case you don't know - Marella is part of the TUI Travel Group.
We first booked a Marella cruise for spring 2022 as the itinerary included Guadeloupe ("Death in Paradise"). As Marella made several changes to the itinerary for 2022 we were able to change our booking to a 2023 cruise which again included Guadeloupe. Unfortunately, and to our great annoyance, ...
Our first cruise and it wont be our last, well organised at Birmingham Airport greeted by the Tui rep given our flight boarding pass suitcases taken from us and not to be seen again until outside our cabin door onboard ship in Barbados, we upgraded from an inside cabin to a Junior Suite with balcony No 8520 we were well pleased, very impressed with the ship it had undergone a major revamp 2022 ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary: visiting 10 Caribbean islands in 2 weeks with very few sea days. We are not interested in the cruise 'experience'. For us the ship was a place to sleep and eat between visits. In addition we wanted a smaller ship and, very important, adults only.
We had no illusions that this would be a luxury cruise but we were very happy with what we experienced ...
Chose this 2 week cruise for the itinerary - 12 islands with only 1 sea day. Flew Gatwick - Barbados quick transfer & luggage delivered straight to cabin. Have sales on other Marella ships but first time on Explorer 2 & quite impressed. Clean & spacious and adults only with a range of bars, eateries & entertainment. Younger vibe than some other cruises we've been on.
CABIN Inside cabin deck ...
