A Little Disappointed

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We chose Regent due to the "all inclusive" pricing. However, we were somewhat dissatisfied this trip (our third cruise with Regent). The long wait to be transferred from the Mark Hopkins Hotel to the pier was not good. We had to wait almost two hours. No explanation as to why the wait was so long, no one was offered water while waiting, and many people had to stand around. Some of the ...

Alaska the amazing!

Alaska, not just on the bucket list. We have seen all kinds of TV programs on Alaska and wanted to get a close up, first hand view. Embarkation was smooth with bus picking us up at Mark Hopkins Hotel, but disembarkation needs a lot of work... too chaotic with local buses and it felt like Regent just washed their hands of us once we stepped over the door threshold. Ship: Mariner needed to be ...

Lousy boat ride to Alaska

We just returned from our voyage from Alaska and I have to say it was very disappointing. We have been on 3 other Regent Cruises and all have been excellent. Let me start out by saying the crew, food and accommodations where excellent. We are a silver member and did not receive one ship credit which I found a little discouraging to begin with. Regarding our voyage we booked all our ...

Bad Service on Mariner Seven Seas

I don't like to write bad reviews about things, because there is always some good, but Mariner has some really, really bad things going on with their service. First of all, I am sorry to say, the reviews on the staterooms being nasty and dirty are true. I think I must be in the penthouse suite that a previous passenger who took pictures was in. It is the worst stateroom I have been in, dirty ...

A BROKEN PROMISE LEFT US WITH A FEW PLUSSES AND LOTS OF MINUSES.

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

After two trips on the Crystal's Symphony my wife and I vowed we would go on no other cruise line. We broke that promise in 2016. I had tried to book two legs of a Crystal Cruise on the Serenity from San Francisco to Vancouver and then Vancouver to Steward (Anchorage) Alaska for a total of 13 nights. However, my travel agent, David Butterfield of All Cruise Travel in San Jose, California, ...

Return to Alaska

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and date together with value for money. We had been to Alaska some 18 years previously on Holland America. There is no doubt that this ship, and the suites look tired and need updating however everything worked in our suite but the shower in the bath was difficult to get in and out especially if the ship is rolling in rough seas. The steward service ...

What Is Six Star Cruising?

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

I have previously had 9 cruise experiences with Fred Olsen, Princess, Celebrity, and Azamara over the last 9 years; all very enjoyable in their own way and using conventional star ratings I would place these progressively in the range 3.5 to 4.5. I jumped at the chance to travel on Regent Navigator from San Francisco to Alaska to Vancouver because it ticked so many boxes never having visited ...

We've recently returned from a fascinating cruise to Alaska. A pity the cruise didn't start in the UK because we're not at all fond of flying. We first flew to San Francisco, and were pleased that our package with Regent Seven Seas included an upgrade to Premium Economy on the long 11 hour flight. Two nights in SF gave us the opportunity to visit Alcatraz. Because it's hugely popular, we would ...

ALASKA & REGENT SEVEN SEAS - JUST A PERFECT COMBINATION

Before you read any further, I am sorry this is such a lengthy report. I hadn't intended that it would be, but by the time I’d finished..... well you decide. Whilst we are not new to cruising, just new to Regent Seven Seas, and are just one of the growing number of UK residents who are now enjoying this cruise line. It was the Itinerary that first attracted us to this particular cruise. Generally ...

This is our second cruise on the Navigator. We had some housekeeping problems on the first cruise but everything else was good so we decided to try it again. Embarkation was fairly simple and after having a glass of champagne our room was ready. Public rooms were nice and we really liked the library/computer area. The carpets throughout the ship needed replacing. Our suite had fresh ...
