Too many things to like rather than "hate."

Arrived at the terminal at 9:42, an hour before my scheduled time. Bags were checked in less than 5 minutes, RFID tags attached. After two prior attempts to visit the Tear Drop Memorial, I was finally able to walk over there (prior construction of terminal stopped me in the past) and reflect. The drive in and Check in was painless, about 5 minutes. Then off to my 'waiting area' where people ...

Not all bad, not all great

Like many others on the ship, we had booked our sailing nearly 2 years in advance, and were definitely in it for the ship rather than the destinations. I hate to say that the cruise was a disappointment, because we certainly had a great time. However, there was a lot of hype behind the marketing and setup of the Quantum that probably took away from the experience, particularly given our long ...

Loved the ship, everything was beautiful, but it was very confusing with the dining. I would have preferred traditional dining experience I have been used to. I usually eat at least twice a cruise in the specialty restaurants just for a change. all said the ship was fabulous, but the crew seemed to be off kilter, I am so used to the Explorer and the exceptionally friendly staff, this crew just ...

We were ready for a wonderful vacation and that's exactly what we experienced. It started right from the time we arrived at the peer and continued for the whole 13 days. What an experience we had a little bit of everything from snow on embankment day, some wind down the coast, hot sunny days and the Atlantic on the way back was as smooth as glass. The ship is beautiful. The public spaces feel ...

Long before I boarded the Quantum on 1 March, I had heard so many negative comments about the Quantum. Now that my 12 days aboard her have ended, I'm wondering where all the negativity came from. The ship and her crew were awesome...the food better that most other RCI ships that I have sailed, and the shows top-notch. Let's start with check-in. The new terminal is much nicer than the old, ...

After a lot of negative press, a great cruise on a great ship!

This was the March 1, 2015 Southern Caribbean cruise on Quantum of the Seas departing from Cape Liberty, New Jersey. We took the Academy bus from Arlington, Virginia the morning of the first. A predicted snow storm was chasing us the whole way, but it being Sunday, we made good time and got to Cape Liberty just after noon. Problem was so did a couple of dozen other buses. We were held on a side ...

Don't Listen to the Cranky-pants, book the Quantum if you want to have

Wow. There are a whole lot of Crankypants Curmudgeons looking for the negative and detailing every.little.thing. that annoyed them. We are a mature couple and we do like our creature comforts. And our cruising. Neither of us had our day (in paradise) ruined by such minutiae as touch sensitive elevator buttons causing more floors to be stopped at if people leaned against them. JEEEEEZ lighten up! ...

Loved the ship but they need to rethink the dining and show bookings

It is a beautiful ship and the entertainment is top notch. They need to work on the dining reservations, too much work and a lot of complaints from some of the older travelers. Also having to book every show was a bit much Great staff, great service, the food was great. Loved 270, it's over the top. Bumper cars, what's not to like. The flight simulator was great, a little small for a guy ...

We had heard so many negative things about the Quantum of the Seas before we left for our cruise, so we went on the cruise with an open mind and anticipating a good cruise. We were NOT disappointed! Quantum is a beautiful ship and very easy to navigate around the ship. We enjoyed dining in the different restaurants each night and found the food good in most cases. There was something on the ...

Quantum of the Seas... don't listen to the naysayers

Can't believe all the negative comments on here about this ship. Of course there were some imperfections, but overall, we had a great time doing something that a lot of people can't afford or are given the freedom to do. We are lucky in that regard. Our embarkation was a snap, form curb to ship was @ 15 minutes. By the time we sailed there was a few inches of snow on the pool deck, hilarious ! ...
