The Great, Good and Not So Good

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Explorer of the Seas

We had so much fun on Explorer Feb. 4th -9th sailing. What I enjoyed was the diversity of people on board. I love seeing little ones enjoying. The entertainer we booked to see playing in Schooner's, Perry Grant, could not be there last minute and I was so disappointed. David, who filled in, was a laugh and a half. And we were all surprised when fellow passenger asked to sing along and stole ...

Overall I loved this ship and the stops. This was my first cruise so I have nothing to base it of but I'm mostly satisfied. The ship is absolutely beautiful and elegant throughout most of it, the rooms are a bit dated but still cozy and comfortable. The beds were alright , nothing to write home about but the pillows were good. I do wish they came with fans in each room it was bloody warm in ...

Plenty of Space for Everyone to do their Own Thing

We booked this sort of last minute on a Black Friday special and got a great deal. For a ship & itinerary selected primarily on departure date, we were both surprised and pleased how nice the experience was. This ship is large enough to have a variety of activities and amenities, but not so huge to be able to get around. It is a bit older, and shows in some spots but most areas look nice. Very ...

Ship was well kept for an older ship. Our balcony stateroom was clean and nice. The cabin attendant ( Virasami ) was the best we ever had. Hard working (even when not around our cabin ) attending to our every need, and anticipating our needs. Food in the main dining room was ok. Our waiter Saka was accommodating to our needs and wants. Our head waiter Hans, was a character. Nice but over ...

My wife an i spent two weeks in mid-ship rooms on icon of the seas-the first two weeks of february. OVERVIEW: We have been on over 100 cruises, the most recent being on holland america's rotterdam. Icon compares favorably in most categories, but is the most beautiful ship we have sailed. The icon of the seas is incredibly beautiful. The architecture, the magnificent technology, and the ...

It is the best cruise I have ever been on, the food is delicious, the room is super spacious, the service is spectacular, the private island is a dream, in short they are the best. The customer service is super exceptional, in the restaurant the food is super fresh and fabulous, at the buffet the food always has a lot of variety in both fruits and everything else. A quick overview of Icon of the Seas from our Jan 20-23 preview sailing. Some background on us. Cruising nearly 20 years, have sailed on 10 cruise lines. We love all manner of ships from the Icons to the small 650 passenger vessels. Prior to Icon we've sailed Mariner and Symphony on Royal. From what we were told there were 4000 on our sailing and I can tell you the ship felt empty. This ship ...

Had a company cruise coming up, and my partner was unable to go, and I was informed I owed her a cruise. Well, fair enough, booked this one, and had a lovely time of it. I will say that the city of Miami is a bit expensive and all of our uber drivers got lost at least once, so that was odd, but the cruise itself was fantastic. While I don't recall his name, our steward was particularly great, ...
