Traveling with friends in an adjoining oceanview balcony stateroom, we missed being able to open the screen between the two balconies as we had been able to do on Independence of the Seas. But the room was quite comfortable, and the sleep accommodations were good. Always check the firmness of the bed when you first board and, if necessary, request a foam topper if the bed is too firm (learned that trick on the last cruise). We did have issues with the AC power availability. The 115 V outlet at the vanity was very worn and made it challenging to keep a blow dryer plugged in. The outlet in the bathroom was not functional at all. Read entire member review >>
Our balcony cabin was on deck 7 very forward. We were very happy with our cabin. We were a bit afraid of hearing noise from the theater below but it was very quiet. Our room was spacious for a ship cabin, clean and had plenty of storage space. Read entire member review >>
The bottom sheet came off every night. Two mattress protectors on the bed (extra padding? Very uncomfortable mattress). The bed skirt showed wear. The comforter appeared dirty at the top. The sheer curtain was coming down on the far right end. The glass on the balcony had paint smear and rust so you couldn't see through some areas of it. I would add pictures but this site seems to require me to sign in or register. Read entire member review >>
Not sure is this was a D1 or D2? but a great cabin either way. We've cruised quite a bit, but this was our first time in a stern cabin. It will not be our last! As I said earlier, considerable vibration the first night or two of the cruise, but nothing after that! Loved the cabin. Lotsa storage and huge balcony. A great stateroom! I was expecting our balcony stateroom to be a little bit bigger from my experience on another RC ship and this took a little adjusting. However, we were on the back of the boat and had a very large balcony which accommodated naps after our excursions on the loungers, coffee and tea, breakfast, snacks, etc. at the table while enjoying the views. Functional. Shower very small. Verandah door very noisy in the wind and did a lot of banging. Track for the sliding window pretty disgusting looking - not sure when last properly cleaned. The ship itself seemed to often just be noisier than were used too. Cabin was quiet as far as hearing other people though. Read entire member review >>
Nice cabin. Plenty of space for clothing and other supplies. Beautiful view, which was appreciated when cruising the Fjords or the glacier. Very quiet area of the ship, yet convenient to Centrum and pool. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was relatively small. Otherwise as expected. Perhaps a little tired, and in need of some updating. Having cruise many times before, it was not the best we've had, but were were happy with the room in general. Read entire member review >>
Clean and comfortable with adequate storage space. Small shower. Gone are the individual bottles of shampoos and conditioners as well as chocolate on your pillow at night. Few movies offered on television. Read entire member review >>
Cabin was comfortable; balcony usable during entire trip! (Since we traveled from Alabama where it is 99 degrees in if you are lucky, it was a wonderful place to view the wildlife/scenery.) Fridge stocked daily. Staff very accommodating and interested in being as visible or invisible as you wanted them. Would go again in a heartbeat! Read entire member review >>
Didn't have a proper bed for 8 nights as the configuration of our cabin was incorrect. Cabin booked was on deck 8 external....just to get a bed I was given an internal room on Deck 2. What a letdown. I was away from my family then...$7,500 for one cabin and didn't even have a proper bed. Very very poor customer service. I have sent an email once I got back home and after 14 days, still no reply. NO GOOD ENOUGH RC. Read entire member review >>
7080 on the 7th/level sits at the middle of the ship very close to atrium for shows and elevators for easy access to all levels, nice large area plenty of storage space and well kept Read entire member review >>
Stateroom 7080 is near the Centrum, a convenient location with only a little daytime noise from the shows there. At night, this didn't seem to be a problem. There's no balcony neighbor to the left, so it's a little more private. Overall conveniently located, spacious and no problems with this room. Read entire member review >>
Stateroom 7556 - Superior Ocean View with BalconyQuiet location - if you want to sleep - you can't really hear the music in the centrum or any of the venues on the deck below. Bed - if you have them together - they are uneven. One is about 2 inches lower than the other. Balcony - nice place to sit out with coffee and to look at the stars at night. We had a lot of luggage and we had enough room to hang up, shelve or put everything in drawers. The ship's speakers do not work in this room so we had to stand near the door to hear announcements. Read entire member review >>
Adequate size, kettle with tea and coffee making facilities, bar fridge, small balcony but big enough for us. Small shower area but nice size bathroom overall. Very low pressure in the basin but great in the shower. Read entire member review >>
Absolutely no noise from adjoining cabins (except from the balcony if sitting outside). The balcony was larger than we expected and provided an excellent vantage point for beautiful sunsets. Read entire member review >>
If you are sensitive to motion you might not want to book this cabin. I enjoy the motion of the sea but two of my mates traveling with me got seasick on this cruise. The shower arrangement is most inconvenient and your backside will become very well acquainted with the shower curtain. Not sure there is any difference in the other cabins. There was adequate drawer space and closet area for two adults. Read entire member review >>
