We just returned from seven glorious nights on the Carnival Glory. Since we live in Georgia, we chose to drive down the same day as our departure. The embarkation process could not have been easier. We arrived at about noon and dropped off our luggage. I stood in line while my husband parked the car in the garage (a little over $100). Be aware that you will need to pay for the parking prior to the ...
Arrival / embarkation: We flew into Orlando the day before departure and took a rental car to and from the cruise port. Much cheaper than transfers through Carnival. Port Canaveral has been pleasant both times we've left from there. Only a short wait to pass through security. Lines were very quick once through the metal detectors and x-rays. I still hate that paper luggage tags that you are ...
My husband and I booked this cruise with my sister and her husband for a relaxing winter vacation. It was our 4th cruise experience. The first 3 had been on RCI-one being a 2 week cruise tour to Alaska. This was my sister's first cruise and we looked forward to seeing a cruise through a first timers eyes. We are almost senior citizens and were looking forward to a relaxing vacation. We drove to ...
We boarded at Cape Canaveral with remarkable ease. It took less than 45 minutes and we were on board by 11:30. We were able to drop off our carry on bags in our room prior than the 1:00 posting for room availability. Had lunch up on the Lido deck and began to explore the ship. We traveled with a group of 5 couples, all of whom have cruised before on several different lines, including Carnival. ...
We boarded the Carnival Glory on January 10th for a cruise of the Western Caribbean. Our trip was booked through AAA Northern new England and our thanks goes out to Ruth for the shipboard credits, the champagne and chocolate fruit platter we discovered in our rooms upon boarding.
We flew into MCO a day early, luckily so in hindsight considering the abysmal weather in the northeast soon ...
My wife and I had previously cruised on the Carnival Ecstasy in 1995 on a 3 day cruise from Miami to Nassau, so that is all I have to compare this cruise to. There is absolutely no compassion at all, this was a fantastic cruise. The Glory is a wonderful ship, much larger than the Ecstasy. Well, here goes... We arrived in Port Canaveral one day early and stayed at the Radisson at the Port. ...
My husband and I cruised Dec. 13th 19th for our Birthdays,28 & 29. I'm a procrastinator so I'm just now getting around to writing a review. This was our second time on the Glory. First was April/May 2008, then Dec. 2008.
Both times we drove and stayed at the Residence Inn Cape Canaveral. Great Hotel, Comfy beds, breakfast, and we got to park there. We took a shuttle to the port for a small ...
My wife and I took a Princess Cruise to Alaska two years ago and we both thought that going on a Carnival Cruise with the kids (14 & 16) might be disappointing as compared to the Princess experience. I must tell you that the experience on the Glory exceeded our expectations. Our kids had a great time, and my wife and I truly enjoyed ourselves. We ate our breakfast and dinner in the dining rooms ...
I began planning this cruise while my husband was deployed so I had plenty of time to read just about every review of the ship as well as each port we visited. I have to say that I believe that this was the main reason we had such a wonderful time. We drove in the night before and arrived at 11am at the port. From the time we got out of the shuttle to sipping our first drink was 30 minutes. Smooth ...
Well, I'm sad to report that our New Year's cruise is now over. I woke up the first post-cruise morning depressed because I couldn't find the buffet ;) But seriously, my family and I loved our 7 nights on the Glory and it started with the service.
Embarkation was painless. They broke up the lines in two sections, by cabins and we were one of the first ones to board the ship from our section, at ...
