Southern Caribbean cruise

Review for Norwegian Sun to Caribbean - Southern

We chose this cruise for itinerary, price and having been on the Sun twice before. Hotel director Brian Walters is the best at sea, running a great crew. Very friendly crew though out ship. Food in he specialty restaurants very good, did't try Le Bistro. Ocean view cabin typical for this class of ship with a very attentive steward Roman.Didn't enjoy a couple of the lounge musicans, but that's ...

Oceanview room on 6A was quiet & convenient. Most shows were a disappointment in theatre, we only liked 4 out of 11 nights. Game shows were great, very entertaining! Loudspeaker system is horrible & hard to understand what is being said. Music on pool deck was so loud you couldn’t have a conversation without yelling. Kids took over adult pool & hot tubs & nothing was ever said to them. NO ...

CRUISE CRITIC FOR NORWEGIAN SUN April 5-12 Departed and Returned to Tampa. Visited Roatan, Belize City, Costa Maya, and Cozumel. Total of 7 nights on board. This was our first cruise on Norwegian, but far from our first cruise. I have been on Carnival, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, MSC, and Holland America for a total of something like 14 total cruises with 5 of them last year alone. I say ...

Very Disappointing Experience, please read before booking

I rarely write reviews but felt the need to after our recent cruise. This was my 9th cruise and second with NCL and in terms of the total cruise experience, easily the worst. It is funny because the embarkation processes was probably the easiest, most organized, and best in my cruising experience. Port of Tampa was set up very well and we moved through the registration process very easily. ...

NCL Sun 11-2-14 sail from Tampa

Review for Norwegian Sun to Caribbean - Southern

My partner and I sailed on the NCL Sun on 11-2-14 out of Tampa for a 6 day Southern Caribbean cruise. Embarkation at Tampa: The cruise terminal was not set up, we arrived at 10:A.M or so and when they did set up, there was overall chaos as the majority of the computers did not work and the NCL representatives had no idea where to tell all the passengers to go. We waited in the wrong line because ...

I don't usually write a review but this one was exceptional. Great ports and beautiful weather only made it better. We have been on 25+ cruises (9 with NCL) and have always said NCL has the best entertainment. Everything on this cruise was A to A Plus. The food was really good, the cabin service was superb and the overall staff was the best. We are active seniors that cruise for the ...

First I would like to thank our cruise consultant at NCL, she was awesome and made our booking a great experience thanks Bonnie, our phone conversation where such a learning experience and she was always there to answer our questions. Now the cruise, we had a wonderful time, from the moment we stepped into the terminal we were treated amazing. The ship was great very easy to find your way around. ...

I'll begin with Embarkation. We arrived at about 1:00pm, and although it was not a bad experience, all things were not equal. The first-time cruisers and repeat cruisers were divided into two separate lines, which is great, because being a repeat customer, it initially makes you feel special. But then reality sets in. We began to notice how fast the other line was moving, which made us realize ...

This was my fifth cruise and my husband's second. We have previously sailed Carnival and Princess. We flew from Seattle to Miami, spent a night and boarded the Sun on the following day. The embarkation was quick, not well signed and no information given for what to do once aboard. We had a balcony cabin, which was well situated in relationship to the amenities of the ship. Having the balcony was ...

Minor disappointments; great cruise

Review for Norwegian Sun to Caribbean - Southern

This was my third time on this itinerary so I am pretty well versed on this subject. However having said that I will try to be objective. First of all is getting on the ship. Boarding is a simple process, you go through a normal security area where they check your carry-on. Once through that you go through the check-in process. They try to make that easy by having special check-in areas for ...
