The Great Outdoors. Has a nice size bar and buffet. Best of all, it's own soft-serve ice machine.

1st Cruise with many more to come!

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Gem

Our 1st cruise and we are NCL cruisers for life! We have already booked our 2nd cruise, a transatlantic. We can't say enough about how smoothly this vacation went. From getting on board and fine dining, followed by great entertainment, this is the way to travel! Norwegian put the "Pro" in professional, the ship was immaculate from morning to night, and you hardly noticed the work it took to keep ...

Great Cruise on the Gem

My husband and I love to cruise and decided to go on the Gem from Boston to Bermuda. I booked a balcony room but at the last minute saw there was a forward facing penthouse suite available so I called and changed the reservation to the suite. We got to the pier at around 10:30 and were in the Haven/Suite waiting area by 10: 45. Anoop, our amazing concierge met us there and gave us our card keys ...

Background: I "won" a "free cruise" after gambling at a casino near my hometown. I was hesitant at the idea that it was "free", but after researching the offer, I decided to take a gamble (pun intended) on this "free cruise" to see how free it really was. It was basically me paying the taxes and port charges only, with an option to bid to upgrade from inner to ocean view and/or balcony. I had ...

This was our best cruise ever. We decided to allow NCL to handle our air and pre and post hotel for this cruise. They truly made this an all-inclusive vacation. We sailed out of Boston and spent a day before and a day after the cruise there. We love sailing out of Boston, it is a much better embarkation than New York. NCL air sent us a list of what to expect for the all-inclusive cruise and they ...

Great first cruise!

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Gem

Everything on this cruise was oustanding, from the staffs, food, activities, shows. No complaints. The mini-suit with balcony is quite spacious for 3 or 4 (we were 3). For the restaurant, great choices in food, timings, waiters being very pleasant, paying attention to details. I strongly recommend to try the Specialty restaurant. They are well worth the money and the entertainment (like the ...

Went to Bermuda on our Honeymoon so it seem a good idea to return with the whole family to mark our 50 years of marriage . Had a great time and all got to enjoy their interests - from fishing - sightseeing - shopping - swimming - snorkeling . The all included my 3 children their spouses and our 6 grandchildren. Everyone loved the on board entertainment and the grandchildren loved eating dinner ...

Shore Excursions

Nirwegian offered $50 towards shore excursions daily. We found that Norwegian upped the prices so high on these excursions if you booked through them that the $50 wasn't even a factor and pretty worthless.I took my whole family of 5 on shore excursions using buses and taxis in Bermuda which was very easy and saved 100's of dollars ! Very disappointed in this aspect of the cruise being it was ...

What can i say more than a horrible vacation? The boat was overbooked..too many people everywhere..not one place next to the pool to reserve a chair, noisy boat with under age kids drinking and screaming..we had hate notes left on our door several times..gum on our door handle and the security officer told us that it wasnt their priority to see who might have done that and that camera footage was ...

This ship is in bad need of refurbishing!

I recently cruised on The Norwegian Gem form Boston to Bermuda. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The ship is old and in dire need of renovation. The restaurants and the food is ok however if you are looking for luxury try another ship! The entertainment was mediocre ,the cabin service was good but not stellar and the speciality dining experiences although good were costly ...

Owner's Suite DID NOT meet our Expectations.

My Wife and I are a dual income, no kids couple (aka DINKS) and we vacation frequently with the notion of work hard, play hard and have no problems paying for luxury experiences. We had heard great things about the Boston to Bermuda NCL cruise. Being local, we absolutely LOVED the idea of getting dropped off at the ship and hopping right on to start our vacation. We decided to book the Owner's ...
