We have been on over 70 cruises with most cruise lines. So, our point of view is based on comparing what we have experienced in the past. Our "mini-suite" was smaller than most balcony cabins we have had on other cruise lines. The bathroom, however, was nice. A decent size glass enclosed shower and double sinks. The grab bar in the bathroom - adjacent to the toilet - was broken and the trim on the shelves in the closet was coming off (the grab bar was reported and repaired). The mirror above the desk/counter top was smeared and remained that way the entire cruise. A bottle of champagne was brought to the room but without an ice bucket or glasses. My husband asked about ice and was told to go to deck 6 to get ice! The balcony was very small. We could have saved money by simply booking a balcony cabin rather than a mini-suite. No special treatment for being in a mini-suite. I liked the switches inside the cabin which, when activated, signaled outside the door if you wanted the room cleaned or if you did not want to be disturbed (rather than the plastic over the handle notices on most ships). I never met our cabin attendant ... Read Less

The only difference between a balcony cabin and a mini suite is about 4 feet, and it's all in the bathroom. Four people could have used it at the same time. The shower had a large "rain" showerhead and 6 jets you could set several ways. The beds were too soft for me but still comfortable enough. Read Less

Outstanding cabin, midship, high up, but not close to any large or loud noises (With the exception of the movie nights, we actually heard the loud parts of the action movies from the balcony, they have a pretty good sound system up there, not a problem for us), Our Cabin Steward, Al Bryan was attentive and met all of our requests, cleaned and staged the cabin when needed and also respected our privacy. Very classy and comfy. The best shower of any stateroom I've experienced after 10 cruises. King bed and spacious bath area. Tons of storage space. The teeny deck was adequate.

Our room was awesome - perfect for two people who don't pack lightly. We had a ton of storage space that we didn't even use. Balcony was large enough to comfortably seat us (and could have accommodated another one or two people). We lucked out and didn't have loud neighbors - that's the only downside on the balcony. The temperature was fine and easy to adjust in the room. We especially loved the spacious bathroom - two sinks and a wonderful spa shower and room to move around. Our steward was wonderful, friendly, and really took care of us without interrupting the flow of our vacation. Loved room service breakfast - sipping coffee on the balcony :-) Read Less

The good - The cabin was clean and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was large with glass tile above a long double farm style sink. The shower was large, much larger than I have had in similar cabins on Carnival ships. Would easily hold two adults or multiple children. It had a rain-shower shower head with additional low back and ankle level jets. The okay - The mini-suite was 249 sq feet. We have had much larger cabins in ocean view categories on Carnival. There was only one double closet with shelves on one side and hangers on one side. The closet doors were sliding so I was not able to use my over the door shoe holder I normally use to hold toiletries. There were two other cabinets about the size of a night stand. It was enough space for my husband and I, but my son lived out of his suitcase. The not so great - Both the mattress and the sofa bed were hard. My husband likes a firm mattress and they were too hard for him. For me, Carnival's bedding is much more comfortable. Sidenote - No towel animals. This is not huge deal. It is just something that was kind of fun to find when you came back to your cabin at night on Carnival ships. Read Less

Clean with updated decor. We found it very small but didn't have anything in comparison.
