We went on th oasis the previous year and loved it. This cruise stunk. Food was decent but not stellar. Many of the entres were the same even though we went t different restaurants each night. Desserts were mostly from pre-mad packages. Nothing special. Many entrees greasy and not fresh tasting. We both got the Noro-virus which I realize can happen but made the experience much worse. No ...
Let's start with the positive: Good restaurants and Great shows. Hi-Tech nuances that are entertaining.
Bad:
A day cut out from the excursions without any note to the passengers - no excuses or apologies. Not even as much as notifying us. When I contacted the customer service, representative lied to me that agenda has been changes in January. I had a printed agenda from 2 days prior to ...
The ship is beautiful but there are problems. We did not care for dynamic dining at all. We found the service to be slow in all 4 complimentary restaurants, the food arrived barely warm, and there wasn't enough variety in the menus for a 12 day cruise. The two best meals were in Chops and Jamie's Italian. We also did not care for the breads that were served with the meals. The water glasses were ...
My wife and did the 8-night Bahamas cruise out of Cape Liberty, New Jersey on March 13, 2015. Overall, the cruise was okay. Definitely better than the Oasis we sailed 2 years ago. This boat is much less kid-oriented than the Oasis, which is a good thing for couples without kids. (Still TONS for kids to do, but not overkill like the Oasis).
We like the variety of food options, but I think they ...
Let me start out by saying my husband and I are seasoned cruisers. We have taken a total of 36 cruises on many lines including: Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Princess, Disney and Carnival. Our favorite line is Celebrity and our number two (thus far) is Royal Caribbean. We were truly looking foward to sailing from NJ as we live in NY. My nephew and his family also joined us. We arrived at the ...
Just came back from our disappointed cruise trip yesterday. This is the first vacation that we (group of 24) were looking forward for it to be over. I have to admit Quantum is a beautiful ship but beauty can only get you so far it the inside is rotten.
I would never set sail out of Bayonne again. You basically wasting 3 days inside the ship to get to Port Canaveral and 2 days to come back from ...
DON'T DO IT...I have never been so disappointed in my life, The ship is beautiful and the room Stewart was great...that's the end of the good news. The food was unreal...not fit for human consumption. The scrambled eggs were made from a box...can you believe you paid all that money for boxed eggs? Dinners were amost as bad, try to get a table was impossible, no matter what kind of meat you ...
The Quantum has a lot of problems!!!
The restaurant dining is a real mess, staff are not friendly or helpful!!
Elevators had a real problem with a lot of them out of service.
Windjammer buffet is poorly designed and over crowded.
Fitness center was nice but half of the treadmills were not working!!
Solariums were beautiful, Balcony room was great!!
Cruise was NOT a WOW!!! ...
So disgusted with RCCL! We are Emerald cruisers and were so disappointed with Quantum of the Seas. Getting on the ship at Bayonne which used to be easy was horrible. You have to park far away now and there was no handicapped parking! Then you have to make a reservation to check in to expedite things . However that was a joke. He had reservations to check in for 11:15-11:45. We got to port at 10;30 ...
I was so looking forward to getting on this 'new' ship for Royal. All I can say is, "I would really not recommend this ship for a vacation". Very disappointed from the check in with a woman who messed up everything and could hardly use her ipad. UGH. Got to our 'larger' interior room with a virtual balcony and it was, of course, not a 'larger' room that we paid for. Had an awful club chair to ...
