I can barely think of positive things to say about this boat and staff. We were at 105% capacity. They could not handle the people THEY overbooked. The food was sub par, they would close hot tubs and pools randomly, for seemingly no reason. Our personal experience, on board, was bad. First, the ship is definitely showing its age. We witnessed a few floods in the cabins, but the lido deck has a lot of soft spots.
The next issue was with the illnesses all over the boat. Even on day 2, members we already getting sick. By day 4, the captain started marking operational changes but more people continued to get sick.

My first Christmas in a cruise and really enjoyed it!!!!!
Great food, the shows were awesome and really loved the ports we stopped!!!!
Will love to go back!!! Since you embarkation they make you feel like queen and king.
I will tell you, I didn't have time to use the pool, but it looked good.

Carnival Valor was a little disappointing. I had a better time on the Elation and that ship is tiny compared to the Valor. Food in the buffet and dining room was horrible. This cruise was pretty fun. I like cities and the cruise had an atmosphere of a city in which everyone was trying to have fun. In the way sardines in a can are trying to have fun together. The other guests were the only form of entertainment that was remotely enjoyable on board.

Safe and drawer under couch were both broken and unusable. Room steward was so over worked he only managed to clean our room 2 out of the 5 days we sailed. They only had one of the four slides open with very limited hours of operation. Very few activities during the day. We chose this cruise based on previous reviews of other guests. We were pleasantly surprised with the cruise and I stayed at one of the Haven suites. The private restaurants and bars within the Haven were excellent and met our expectations. The bathtub overlooking the ocean in the evening was incredibly relaxing after a day of excursions. Kids had fun, adults had fun. Win win!
