Nothing "divine" about MSC Divina

Review for MSC Divina to Caribbean - Southern

User Avatar

This was our fourth cruise with MSC and third on Divina. To say it was a disappointment would be a serious understatement. The disappointment started with embarkation. It appeared that the suggested "check-in times" assigned was nothing more than a suggestion. Huge crowds, made more restless by a four piece combo of some type whose only talent seemed to be trying to make more noise than the ...

MSC Divina Good & Not So Good

Review for MSC Divina to Caribbean - Western

This was our 3 rd cruise on the Divina, first since covid and the 2nd sailing for the ship. The good: Crew bent over backwards to help in any way. Even for special requests from the buffet. Covid sanitation was outstanding. Their private island Ocean Cay was very beautiful well staffed and had ideal beaches. Food at both the restaurants and the buffet was very good for the most ...

Lack of chairs at the swimming pool

Review for MSC Divina to Caribbean - Western

We were part of a group of 28 persons. It was almost Impossible to get a chair at the swimming pool if you didn't put your towel on it very, very early in the morning. People would put their towels on chairs and leave for hours; so the chairs were unoccupied but reserved! I mentioned the fact to an attendant who answered there was nothing they could do. Tables were too crowed at the dining ...

1st time MSC customer

Review for MSC Divina to Caribbean - Eastern

I chose this cruise because of the last minute special I found on a cruise website. I read many reviews and was skeptical but overall I am very happy about my trip. There were some food items that did not taste great, but since you can order any and everything off the menu or make other selections in the buffet, that is what I did. I enjoyed all my meals. I did not get sick from anything or sea ...

Excellent ship, small room

Review for MSC Divina to Caribbean - Western

Chose for itineraries, and our location to Miami, first reaction was the small state room,as never been on MSC,we have never been in a room without a couch or chair(our fault ?) Excellent ship, plenty of hidden places to get away from crowds, only place crowded was the pool (which is obvious) huge buffet areas,we thought the main dining was so so,compared to other cruise lines, awesome outdoor ...

First & Last MSC Cruise!

Review for MSC Divina to Europe - Western Mediterranean

We chose this cruise because we like the itinerary, the dates were perfect and the price was good. In the past we have cruised with P&O, Cunard, Royal Caribbean & Princess and have always had a good experience -They all seem to offer something different and we are looking for an enjoyable holiday and good value for money. The ship is well maintained and very clean, the public areas are well ...

1st Divina, third overall MSC Cruise. I am hooked on MSC.

I choose this cruise for myself (single 55 year old male), my 24 y/o son and 21 y/o daughter because it scheduled well around her college spring break and we could all handle a 10 night getaway...we flew in from three places Thursday morning February 21st (all excited and a bit apprehensive about such an immersive family experience) and flew back to our respective places Sunday March 3rd ...

Too crowded and atmosphere is very boring in general...

First of all, I got a room with a balcony that was presented in the pictures with a nice open view. The room I got half of the balcony is made a metal that doesn't have the nice open view. 95% of other rooms have the balcony made of a transparent glass that allows the nice open view over the ocean... sunsets etc.. Anyway... that was my first disappointment. I didn't get what I paid for!! It is ...

Would not cruise on MSC again

Review for MSC Divina to Caribbean - Western

User Avatar

The only good things on this ship were the shows in the theater and the Italian Specialty Restaurant for a fee. Food and service in the main dining room were terrible. Food was tasteless and cold. The description on the menu had nothing to do with what was actually served. We had one waiter that didn't know what Iced Tea was.We missed the Opera performance because dinner service was very, very ...
