Outstanding combination of European and Brazilian ports punctuated by a five day calm Transatlantic crossing was the initial attraction - the value for money pricing was a further benefit.
Organisation from embarkation to disembarkation, tendering and service throughout the ship exceeded expectations. Food in the dinning rooms was average but the self serve offering were wide ranging, innovative, ...
We have gone on cruises with other cruise lines before and never had such an experience as we did on this MSC cruise.
The hygiene level of the crew needs to be improved. At the buffet service alone I never saw a clean cloth used to wipe down the tables when people left the tables and others sat down to eat. It had gotten to the point that I would wipe the table down before we would eat on it. ...
Previous reviewers made me wonder if we'd made a mistake booking this cruise again (we'd enjoyed it so much 2 years ago on the Melody) but we need not have worried. Also having paid a very low price we expected that there may have been lots of cuts to the quality of the food, service and entertainment. Not so. The food in the restaurant was perfectly acceptable, at times really excellent, and ...

We transferred from our Lido hotel to the Musica by Aliliguna vaporetto, arriving around a little after 11:00. It was a fair walk from the water bus 'cruise terminal' stop to the cruise terminal building but once there, MSC did well to get us through the various stages of checkin: luggage drop off, cruise card issue and credit card authorisation, security and finally ...
MSC Poesia Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale November 2012
As we flew out over the sea to make our turn and descent to Barcelona we could see ahead of us the Poesia fresh from a dry dock visit and her Bigger sister the Fantasia which were both due in port together, Fantasia heading out later on her Transatlantic to Brazil. As we headed out of the airport to find our bus we met Peter and Marian who it ...
Beautiful ship, very friendly staff from booking in at Southampton,to the maintainance men who always said hello. Breakfast and lunch,as good as other cruise lines. the evening meal was tasty, but the presentation was not very good,it did improve as the days passed.
The entertainment was excellent, I particularly liked the Opera evenings, but there was something for everyone.
The tours were ...
Having only been on one other cruise and throughly enjoying it we were excited when we booked our MSC cruise. However after reading some really bad reviews before sailing we were abit concerned. But we decided to go with an open mind after all the price was great and we were going to places we had never been before. WELL WE WERE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!!!!!
SHIP: Beautiful and kept clean all the ...
When this cruise was originally advertised in Australia at a really low price we all jumped on this one. originally we were booked for the Magnifica, with a departure from Venice to New York. But after booking 3 months later were advised they had changed the departure from Venice to Kiel in Germany..but wait for it the ship also..as well as the itinerary..Most of the 1800 of us Aussies stayed with ...
I waited a long time to try cruising and so pleased that MSC targeted the Australains last year. We became a number of 1700 Aussies or so out of more than 2200 passengers...or numbers something like that! MSC were testing the waters so to speak.
They provided welcoming service, that didnt disappear throughout the 18 nights. We were entertained by young italians, teaching us sushi making, ...
I have cruised with many other companies and seen most of the world. This is not my first MSC cruise and I keep coming back. Last year we went on Musica and Fantasia and this year have just completed a transatlantic crossing on Poesia from Kiel in Germany. The trip was amazing and I cannot understand the the negative comments written here about MSC. Our voyage went like a charm. We had no problem ...
