Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Grandiosa

Having previously cruised on RCL, Princess, Cunard, Celebrity and Disney I realised that this would be a different experience. The low cost for a winter Med sailing made it worth a try. Pros: 1. Value for money. With the availability of cheap flights to Europe from the UK this cruise was a cheap vacation for us. 2. Clean and well maintained ship 3. Helpful staff 4. Great cabin ...

Cheap balcony price was the initial reason for picking MSC, but after looking at the itinerary we decided "yes it's time for a Mediterranean cruise". The onboarding was very efficient as we had a time slot to arrive and literally walked past many people waiting and went directly onboard after a couple of minutes only. Off to a GREAT start as I hate the line ups and bring heard like cattle. Our ...

Just returned from a 7-night Mediterranean cruise (started from Marseille, FRANCE) - 2 adults/2 young kids Pros: - Ship is modern and well designed - Deluxe Balcony room was a positive surprise and we enjoyed the room a lot (size and shape) - Kids Waterpark was impressive. - Experience at seafood/fish specialty restaurant Ocean Cay was very good - Breakfast and lunch in main ...

Very relaxing holiday

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Seaside

We chose this cruise as it sails from Marseille which is easily accessible by us and because we wanted Yacht Club, which we have experienced before aboard the MSC Meriviglia. This is only the second time we have chosen an interior cabin (cruised about 20 times so far) and we probably wouldn't choose an interior cabin again. It was fairly comfortable but we really missed having a balcony or ...

We booked a cruise through Avoya Travel on the "MSC Seaside", departing Marseille on June 3rd, 2022. On our arrival in Marseille on June 1st, Avoya Travel emailed me to inform us that our cruise had been cancelled! We had to decide within a few hours whether to accept a booking on another cruise, with a different itinerary on the "MSC Seaview", departing a day later, or take a full refund. We ...

Worst cruise of our 50+ cruises so far!

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Seaview

We obviously enjoy cruising and expect high standards, this was the worst we've encountered. Positives: 1. Mostly great service apart from arrogant, poorly communicating Guest Services. 2. Really good premium beverage drinks. 3. Excellent Fusion speciality restaurant. Negatives: 1. Main dining room and buffet food was, overall, terrible. Bland, tasteless, poorly presented, ...

Ok, The staff are forced to hustle and relentlessly pitch the passengers, to benefit the ships profit, it's sad to see the pain in the worker's eyes. There are mostly bad's and just a few goods about my experience on MSC. BUFFET FOOD - horrible, they are cheap beyond imagination. If you like cheap fatty food like pizza, meatless pasta and hot dogs, MSC may be for you. They push the ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Fantasia

This was my first cruise and it has put me off them. The attitude of the staff was disgusting and rude. The cruise was a rip of with alot of hidden extras and then when we complained about being charged extra we were told we were lying and they believed their staff. The kids club didn't have much entertainment or set activities and our children found it boring. We upgraded to the easy plus drink ...

Had a great first day here aboard the Grandiosa, leaving Marseille. The food, service, and all other accommodations are not the best I’ve had on a cruise, but they perform very well at the price point. But the wheels came off of this cruise fast this morning in Genoa, when I attempted to walk 25 minutes to the aquarium with my family, and was told that passengers are only allowed to leave the ship ...

I have to say that I am not a fan of short cruises during school holidays and my recent cruise on the MSC Fantasia confirmed this. Firstly I commend MSC for the cleanliness and the overall level of maintenance of this older ship. The crew – as on all cruises I have taken were welcoming, full of smiles and ready to go out of their way to satisfy cruisers. Being a round-robin Mediterranean trip ...
