My husband and I love the small ships and have sailed on the old Rennaisance line ships under Princess and Azamara as well as Oceania. The Regatta is scheduled for renovation, and it is sorely needed. They HAVE to do something with the main showroom but it will be a challenge.
This cruise was very relaxing, from Miami through the Panama Canal to LA. And we live close to LA so disembarking in ...
Just an OK cruise with a few disappointments . . . we have sailed on Oceania before, this cruise one of our least favorite. Panama Canal from Miami to San Francisco. We did get to Cuba which was fascinating to say the least. We arranged a private tour for the two of us all day . . . $65/pp. Museums, walks through town and ride in a 57 Chevy convertible. Great guide, provided lots of ...
Our 16 day cruise from Miami to San Francisco spent 88% of the time at sea, not at the destinations Spending $800+ per day on fine dining is not my idea of an enjoyable cruise.
Destination Services were overpriced, poorly conceived and poorly organized.
Cuisine was excellent and service impeccable.
Cabins were small 216 sf and tight Bathrooms even tighter.
We were aboard Regatta, a ...
My wife and I are frequent cruisers and chose this cruise as an alternative to the all inclusive lines where we always are charged for something we don't take part in. We also used this cruise to determine if we wanted to hold or cancel a 45 day trip on this ship next year out of New Zealand & the South Pacific.
Our embarkation in Miami was swift and without incident. Our first port out of ...
t: Left Miami with huge expectations. Boring tour of Havana. After leaving Havana we were soon informed about engine problems that would cancel our Cartagena shore excursion. The one excursion I was truly looking forward to. Went thru the canal and on to Costa Rica. Did a walk in a cloud forest where we saw one bird and one poison is frog. Had two folks who never should have been on the ...
We chose this cruise as an end of winter getaway to the lovely Caribbean. Embarkation was efficient and we were on board within minutes. Disembarkation was on time and also efficient.
The ship is old but clean and well maintained. We were offered an upgrade to a higher category which we gladly accepted and paid for, however, we were in a cabin directly above the show lounge which meant no ...
Recommended by their exclusive travel agent Vacations to Go.
Service was the very best
Food too was the best of all cruises we have been on.
Ship is small and lacks many of the other amenities of the larger ships.
The cabin was very cramped. Washroom suitable for a child with step up at the door.
I was told by other passengers that they prefer the larger Riviera ship which has much ...
We chose Oceania Regatta because we had sailed on the Insignia last year to Australia, New Zealand, and French Polynesia. The Regatta is the sister ship. This time we introduced our friends to Oceania! This was our 2nd cruise with Oceania Cruise Lines.
Everything from start to finish was excellent. We chose the same type of cabin, the penthouse suite. A few days into our trip, we were ...
We wanted to go through the Panama Canal with a different line to have a variety of ports and experiences. I had heard good reviews of Oceania. We thought it would be a nice change.
The first impression was of a classy lounge, dining area and reception. Our cabin was nice enough, but not one iota bigger than other cruise lines and the balcony was the smallest ever. AND, we had upgraded to ...
The port stops were somewhat boring--not a lot of infrastructure for visitors in Central America. However, the ship experience was outstanding. The food was truly amazing and the service was wonderful. This was our fifth cruise with Oceania on our third ship.
Although the Regatta is almost 20 years old, it doesn't show it's age at all. Maintenance is constant. The service was excellent, ...
