We love the freestyle aspect of Norwegian cruising and we used it to the fullest. The youngest in our group did not take any dress clothes and that was OK with us. We loved the Escape, loved our mini suite and our steward (Mario) was probably the best ever and we have cruised a lot.
The Escape is huge but very easy to navigate. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. We had the ...
Beautiful ship. Boring itinerary, but chose this sailing for the new ship. Have sailed on NCL before, but this certainly did not meet my expectations. Service was hit or miss (mostly miss). Had to send coffee back three times one night at dinner, because it kept coming cold. This happened at breakfast also. Spice H2O Bar attempted to serve us a bucket of beer without opening any of them which ...
I am comparing this to the NCL Jade I took to western Caribbean. This ship is huge and modern and new. This is the only plus to the Escape. The entertainment on this ship is boring. The After Mid night show was so boaring that if I sat in the aisle seat I would run as fast as I could. Food was average. All the crew members looked exhausted and over worked. I hesitated to ask any one for help just ...
Would have been 4.5 but that isn't an option. NCL has definitely upped it's game. Thankfully, the old NCL is dead and gone.
The entire cruise staff was the friendliest and most helpful that we have ever encountered. The cruise director Tyler is amazing. He and his staff are perfectly suited for this ship and the passenger demographic. All of the entertainment was top rate. Both production ...
We had a great time!!! We have cruised with NCL in the past and have always enjoyed it, so we picked the Escape with friends who had never cruised with NCL before. We all had a wonderful vacation.
Embarkation was the smoothest, easiest process - I've never gotten onto a ship so quickly. From car to ship took 20 minutes. We literally walked straight onto the ship, no problems, no lines, no ...
We cruised on June 18-25, the choice was not an option when I began this review. Our travel agent, knowing that we had last cruised on Royal Caribbean's Allure, with young children, told us that we would not be disappointed with NCL's Escape. This was not exactly the case....Our party consisted of 7 total, me, Grandmother of 77 years old, adult children couple, 3 children all under the age of 10 ...
This was the 10th anniversary since my husband transitioned and I wanted to take the whole family on a cruise to remember and celebrate his life. Ten Travlers ages ranging from 2 to 54, and no one was disappointed. Plenty to do. Entertainment and activities to keep all sailors engaged. Babysitting and supervised activities for younger children available.
The ship is gorgeous! Cabins are ...
This is my 5th Cruise and my BF's first. Celebrating our 40th and 50th birthdays. All of my cruises have been with NCL, I have previously cruised on the Pearl, Dawn and Jade.
This was my first trip on the Escape. I booked through Casino At Sea for a 20% discount on the cruise fare. I originally booked a balcony guarantee, and when prices dropped drastically a week before my saildate, I ...
Please forgive this long review but I was very excited about this cruise. This was my 26th cruise, but my first on NCL. To borrow a phrase from Royal Caribbean - WOW! Sailing on the Escape brought back fond memories of what cruising used to be about.
Embark/disembarkation went extremely well. I really enjoyed the crew singing and dancing welcoming us, and the friendly, happy smiles when we ...
Getting on and off the ship was ran very smoothly. The ship is huge. We had a balcony room. This room is not large enough for four people. You could put two adults and one child in the room. We got our two kids an inside state room and we had the balcony. Loved it. The dining is awesome. You do not need the specialty dining package on this ship to eat well. Most of the complementary dining ...
