We set sail out of Miami on March 23, 2014 on the Carnival Glory. Having never cruised before we had no idea what to expect, other than the reviews and tips we had read about online. We purchased the "Faster To The Fun" which was probably the best 50.00 dollars we spent - we were out of our taxi at Miami Port, and all checked in and at our room in 10 minutes .. maybe 15. Even our luggage was at ...
My wife and I have cruised with Carnival several times since 2009. This was our first time on Glory and first time out of Miami. Embarkation was a breeze, and was on lido having a burger within an hour of our arrival. The cruise was to Nassua, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico and Grand Turk.. The one thing that's complicating at first is the layout of the ship. The second thing is the staff in the platinum ...
We are a late 50's couple travelling with two friends of same age and sailed on the Glory for the second time in 3 years. We booked back to back eastern and western Carribean cruises, with the east being the first week. We are 10 time cruisers with the majority being with Carnival. Embarkation on this cruise was the WORST EVER!!!!!!! From arrival at port to getting onto the ship was over 90 ...
2nd time on this ship. The 1st time was great all around ( service, food, entertainment. everything) This cruise, although we went to the same ports, was still fun and a great getaway from the snow, but wow what a difference. The entertainment at the evening shows, was terrible. what a change from 2 years ago. We went to 3 of them non of which were even half full. I have never seen that before. ...
We booked a “Poseidon” cruise to be on the water over New Year 2013-14 and we lived to tell about it!
We booked two staterooms on Carnival having cruised with Carnival before with the expectation of a younger crowd for my approaching 30 kids. The crowd was excellent and the food somewhat limited.
We did book their upper-end steak house for New Year’s Eve and were not disappointed. Service in the ...
The Glory is an older ship that's been refurbished. Its now one of there 2.0 ships. The entertainment and the activities were great. For the price you can not beat it, however if you want something more upscale you will have to pay a little more and get on a newer ship. The food was fair to good at best,. The service was above and beyond, they treat you well, out of 7 days I never saw a staff ...
My fiancé and I sailed the Eastern Caribbean route on this ship the week before Thanksgiving. We had a great time and I thought I would share some of our experiences with those looking to book this cruise…
Faster to the Fun (FTTF):
This was our second time purchasing the Faster to the Fun pass and still feel that it is absolutely worth it! We arrived around noon and waited for 10 minutes in the ...
5th carnival cruise, 2nd on glory. First time was 06, this time is was great to have the 2.0 improvements. A bit about those while I’ve brought it up. The burger joint, the 2 bars and the Mexican place, they just took up extra space on the sides of the main pool putting those in. Bars are bars but the food at both is great. at blue iguana you can even get a breakfast burrito if you want. Another ...
My wife surprised me with a cruise for our anniversary, booking an Eastern Caribbean cruise with our local travel agent on Carnival Glory. Having never been on any cruise we went with an OPEN mind and were NOT disappointed!
We flew in to Miami the night before and had a shuttle to the port, easy and painless to get there and get in line to embark. Sure there was a line and some waiting but what ...
Just returned from a cruise on the Carnival Glory. We sailed from February 24th to March 3rd, 2013.
We arrived at the Port of Miami on Sunday around 2:30 p.m. The entire embarkation process only took approximately 15 minutes and then we were on the ship and in our stateroom. Our Cabin was an Ocean View Suite on Deck 7, which was absolutely beautiful. (Highly recommend this type of room)
Our ...
