2nd time on this ship. The 1st time was great all around ( service, food, entertainment. everything) This cruise, although we went to the same ports, was still fun and a great getaway from the snow, but wow what a difference. The entertainment at the evening shows, was terrible. what a change from 2 years ago. We went to 3 of them non of which were even half full. I have never seen that before. Walked out about half way through the Diva's show. that was embarrassing. the best thing we found to do was the Eboney Cabarate comedy shows, but it was so damn cold in there it was uncomfortable unless you were smart enough to bring a sweatshirt.

As for the new American Table dining menu... IT IS TERRIBLE. the menu choices were minimal, the food was nothing to write home about. (very BLAH tasting) and the service completely sucked. We only ate in the Golden Dining room 3 nights out of the 7, John, and his assistant were by far the best in the dining room. They did awesome. (sorry dont remember the table number) The whole dining experience was very chaotic and unorganized. My wife ordered an iced tea when we first sat down, asked for it again when we got our appetizer, and a 3rd time when we got our main course. Finally, she was mad enough we didnt have dessert and walked out, never did get that iced tea. Oh and they dont tell you, if you order from the "off the grill" portion of the menu, that is all you get, so be sure to order a couple of the side items to go with it. I say a couple cause there aint much to them.

Our Cabin Steward Santolino, deck 1. AWESOME.. never had to ask more than once for anything. We asked for a bucket of ice on day 1, and had a fresh bucketfull everytime we went to our cabin. We will sail Carnival again, because with a family it is affordable, BUT will never go on a ship with the new trial American Table dining.

Cabin Review

Cabin and Santolino the cabin steward were awesome.
