The ship was shabby in appearance. Threadbare carpets in the stairwells, torn seams. Tarnished brass railings. Not like the other Norwegian ships (7 others)I have been on. I was on the Jewel in January and that ship was immaculate.

They make a fuss on cleaning your hands before entering the dining rooms, but in the buffet, we didn't see them wash or sanitize a table after someone left until we complained about it. Then it was just a damp used napkin to clean several tables at a time. No sanitizer at all. I guess they save money that way, but it is not nice to sit down to a sticky, dirty table to eat a meal.

The food for breakfast and lunch was good, but the one night we ate dinner in the buffet was terrible. at 6 pm only one tray line was open. The only choices were fried foods. the only vegetables available were sweet potatoes and Spanish rice. Not easy to get a balanced healthy meal. After complaining they went to the kitchen and brought me some steam vegetables.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

Cabin 10622 was a BA room. Our Steward was excellent. He introduced himself as soon as we arrived. The cabin was kept immaculate during our trip. It was smaller than some of the other Norwegian ships, but adequate. The closet was smaller than the Jewel, but we had no problem putting things away. We travel with soft luggage, so we had no problem storing it under the bed. There were two electric outlets in the room, but we travel ith a electric outlet strip to charge our electronics.
