With a groan and a bit of resentment I've reached silver latitudes level after this cruise. Why, NCL, why do you cut costs in ways that are so obvious? "Cheesecake", anyone? I want to love you. I love your prices and I want to support you for maintaining a year round presence in the northeastern US. But come on....

I have to preface this by saying that I took a glorious Princess cruise a month earlier. Although we sailed right out of NYC during Hurricane Irene the Princess service, ambience and food were top notch. I knew the Dawn was going to be a come down. And overall it was a great cruise. We had fun and met some great people from our roll call. And hey- we both gained seven pounds, so obviously we managed!
