Our family sailed on the 8/14/11 voyage of Carnival Magic. We had a wonderful time - warm, sunny weather and calm seas. The ship was new and clean. The decor was nice. We enjoyed the same great service as on our previous Carnival cruises. Our cabin steward - who had a long Thai name that we shortened to Mr K - was wonderful. He always had our room looking great and was just a nice guy. My mom and son had a connecting cabin and their steward was named Wasan and he was equally as wonderful.

The food in the dining room was delicious, the buffet was typically frenzied and the food was okay. One low point was some pushy passengers in the buffet areas and people who refused to wait in line. As always we loved the Tandoor, the room service and getting a continental breakfast delivered in the morning before we got off the ship.

The new Ropes Challenge course and game area on the top of the ship is a lot of fun. Our sons were always asking to go up there. We also loved the waterslides and the new water playground. Camp Carnival did it's usual fantastic job. Those girls work so hard. My sons were excited to meet up with a counselor or two they knew from previous cruises!

Cabin 8C

We enjoyed our cabin. It was across from the crew pantry so you'd hear them scooping ice if you slept in past 8 (which we didn't do!) Our steward was wonderful. Everything was clean and new. The bed was extremely comfortable.
