A cruise on Spring Break?? Yes, this crazy family did it and we even took extended family (Grandpa & Grandma).

Boarding: We arrived at the port around 12:00pm and boarded with ease. We have cruised with other companies and were please with the boarding process and energy while arriving on-board. Our rooms were not ready so we had a nice lunch. We then got into our room, we booked a balcony (9218) for three of us. The room was a bit small but functional all the same. Our parent were across from us in a inside stateroom. We had hoped to avoid the crazy college kids, no luck. You could tell the nights they all had hang overs. One night loud, the next you could hear a pin drop. Ship did not seem overly crowded due to spring break and we did enjoy ourselves.

The Ship: The Sky is an older ship and we did our homework reading cruise critic boards. We knew what to expect and we were please with the ship. Our only complaint was the pool. It was pretty boring and we had a child with us. It would be nice to see some fun slides or something. Dinning areas were all nice and servers were great. We spent most of the time at the buffet. We did do one signature restaurant. Cagney's Steakhouse was very good and we all felt it was the best meal of the trip! Housekeeping in our stateroom was good as well. We had several towel animals that my daughter loved. We got a kick out of seeing them each night.
