We chose this cruise because it ended up in Amsterdam where we booked the extension so we could see Keukenhof Gardens in their prime. The whole trip was wonderful. Viking representatives were right there when we landed in Basel and helped us transfer to the boat. Viking is so well organized and every excursion went seamlessly. Service on board is top notch and we truly enjoyed the great meals. There were even some special treats to celebrate our anniversary. We were impressed that the menu changed each day and included options reflecting the area we were traveling in. We appreciated that excursions were included at each stop. We did choose a few of the optional excursions and enjoyed them all. Our favorites were the Keukenhof Gardens and the Tastes of Amsterdam which was a fun way to see more parts of the city and sample local treats.

The Rhine cruise was a good first experience with Viking and we hope to take more trips with them.
