Sail Date: Apr 2023

Before I go into the review, I want to share that I've been on over 15 cruises, across multiple cruise companies, and a total of 5 on Royal Caribbean. Post-COVID we sailed on Harmony of the Seas (November 2022) and most recently on Anthem of The Seas (April-May 2023).

Overall, we've been loyal to Royal, with the most cruises taken with them. We've always enjoyed the dining room experience and food there, and the cabin morning and evening service, and if needed, passenger support. It seems as though most of the things are things of the past.

Cabin Review

Cabin 81**:

Pros - amazing view of the front of the ship. Due to the location of the room, and the extra large window, there was an extra seating area in the room.

Cons - if you are a light sleeper, this is not the cabin for you. Throughout the cruise it sounded like a coin was stuck in the dryer. If you've heard that noise, you can relate. Consistently throughout the 8 day cruise, at about 3am we'd be woken up by loud base music. We have no clue where it came from since there are cabins both above and below. We spent a bunch of time looking at floor plans to avoid this.

Due to the location of the room, the whole thing shakes, a lot, during arrival and departure to part. This is felt throughout the ship, as is normal, but an elevated level due to the location of the room. Just something to note so you aren't surprised.

Given the extra space it would have been nice if they had 2 sitting chairs instead of one. Not a deal braker, but a missed opportunity.

You can hear every time someone near by flushes the toilet, opens / closes their door, etc. For some reason it seemed much louder in the room than we've experienced before.

Port Reviews

Nassau

Nassau is still recovering from hurricane damage, though nice to see the rebuilding taking place
