This was our first River Cruise and was told my many that Viking was the best one! We were SO happy that we listened! Even though I am 45 years old and the average age on Viking is 60+ it was still such fun experience! We made life long friends very quickly. We had been on a Royal Caribbean Mediterranean Ocean cruise prior with 6500 aboard and was NOT a pleasant experience. From the moment we landed in for our pre-post in Lake Como, Italy to the time we departed in Amsterdam they took care of us each leg of the trip! Walking us through the airport in Amsterdam and guiding us where to go was amazing!

All the staff on the ship was top notch and most of them even remembered our names which was crazy! Hannah (ship director), Claudio (bar/waiter), Jiggs (chef), Jubal (room service), Zeljko (food manager), and Armondo (bar/waiter). We loved all of these peeps and didn't want to leave.

All the included/paid shore excursion that Viking offered were enjoyable but I would like to see more excursions that are more demanding. I do understand why they don't offer those given the majority of the age group.
