This is the second time my wife and I took this cruise on the Viking Forseti. We were on one of the original voyages back in April 2014 and said then that this is the only vacation trip we would ever do twice. The boat and crew are fabulous. The food and wine are terrific. The excursions are unbelievably educational, entertaining and delicious. The fact that only adults are allowed on board is very refreshing. We also did the Loire Valley extension before the cruise for the second time, as the tours of the chateau's are absolutely beautiful. The schedule, which only requires one hotel instead of several adds to the comfort of this pre-trip adventure. There's also an available Paris extension after the trip, which is nice for first-timers. If you're a health and fitness nut, you might want to skip this one, but if you love wine, wine education and gourmet meals, let the crew of the Forseti do what they do best. Just bring a belt with an extra notch or two.
