Family of 16 arrived at the port in Miami on 3/11/203 to board Norwegian Joy. The boarding process alone was enough to want to cancel the trip, but we figured this wasn't Norwegians fault and we gave NCL a chance. It went downhill quick from there.

Starting with the best things about the cruise was the food. No doubt the best food serviced on a cruise line. Prime Rib, Sushi, Sirloin all top quality in the buffet. Dining room food was great as well. but the service was so bad, we only went 2 nights out of the 7-night trip. 2nd night in the dining room, half of our family wasn't served their dinner while the other half was getting their dessert. Seating could not be made to be together even though we set reservations with the total number in our family. Rooms were great. Balcony room had double sink and full tub and shower restroom. Spacious and clean. Room attendant was GREAT. Entertainment was good. Footloose was canceled after 1 showing and not rescheduled for the rest of the cruise. Elements is by far the best show on the high seas. High packed action, magic and aerialist acts were amazing.

That's it for the good part of the cruise.

Cabin Review

Mid-ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin was nice and clean. Comfortable and spacious. Lots of storage area.

Double sink bathroom with full size tub and shower.

Room attendant was great.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

Costa Maya suffered a severe storm the night before we arrived. All power was lost to the port shops and most of the area around the port. We had to pay for everything in cash and wasn't told in advance to bring cash by the cruise ship.

Cozumel

AMAZING..... If your itinerary stops at Cozumel, plan a day at Paradise Beach. Purchase the inclusive package which includes all the drinks (alcohol and non alcohol) and food you can consume for the day. Add in a day bed by the pool which is only feet away from the beach. Attendants are friendly and gracious. will go here again for sure.

Roatan

This stop was removed from the Itinerary and was replaced with Bimini Bahamas. Bimini was great. Unfortunately they suffered a lot of damage from the hurricanes last year, but islanders are by far the friendliest people that we've encountered at a Bahamas Island. Food is amazing. Conch fritters and whole snapper are the best I've ever had.

Rent a golf cart for the day and drive yourself around. Island is 2.5 miles long and under a mile wide. Beaches are beautiful and the water is amazing.

Harvest Caye

Not enough chairs on the beach for people to use. If you're not off the ship within an hour after porting, you won't get a place to sit unless you rented a cabana in advance.

Not many attractions to do or see.
