Sail Date: Mar 2023

This was our 5th NCL cruise and 12th overall. I did my research so I knew what I was getting into by choosing this ship but we went for this itinerary as we had never visited the ABC islands. I cancelled the Celebrity Millenium to go on the Epic to save a few bucks and use my CruiseNext deposits. Possibly not the best choice ....

Overall, it seemed apparent that NCL is cutting corners. Long waits for drinks (esp on the pool deck), dining servers look stressed, and room stewards are working their tails off. The overall service on this ship was below what we have experienced on other NCL ships we have sailed.

The most disappointing issue for us was the food. The buffet was high school cafeteria quality at best. We felt we had the most salty food ever on a cruise ship in the complimentary restaurants. One night we both had the Hake fish and neither my wife or I could eat the mashed potatoes as they were soooo excessively salty. It seemed that salt was the most pervasive flavor coming from the food.

Cabin Review

Weird bathroom but knew that going in to this cruise. Hard for me to get up early and shave and get ready with my wife trying to sleep. Space is too narrow in the walkway for two people to move around. Lots of storage though.
