Sail Date: Dec 2022

We have cruised several times, both Carnival and Royal.....this cruise was selected based on the date of sailing, the cost and the ports. Overall we enjoyed the Carnival Freedom and would cruise on this ship again. The décor is a little outdated ( browns and oranges) but the service, overall ambiance and cleanliness met / exceeded out expectations. We had a port side balcony room- the room was a decent size for an older ship and both the room and bathroom had great storage space. Our daughter and her fiancé had an interior room- which was small ( to the point that moving around and storage were a little challenging). The food in the main dinning room was good- not amazing- but good, Guy's Burgers, Pizza Place and Cantina all had good food and while the lines were long they moved quickly. The Steakhouse was enjoyable and was by far the best meal we had on board. Tips- get a balcony room- the space and view are worth the added cost and splurge for the steakhouse one night. Carnival markets affordable and fun cruises and that is what this was- we got exactly what we paid for. Overall a good cruise for the money and one we would take again.
