We chose this cruise because Celebrity is our “go-to” line and had not tried Reflection previously. I knew we’d like the ship because Equinox-class ships are our favorite overall. The cruise was mainly chosen for the ship and timing; ports were not particularly exciting due to mostly having been to them all previously. It turned out it was harder to make good use of port time than anticipated because of this.
Checkin was a breeze and took less than ten minutes since we had followed instructions on the app. The cabin was exactly as expected, a good thing, and had an oversized balcony. The public areas are beautiful, in outstanding condition, and immaculate.
Entertainment was somewhat of a miss. We’re not big on the evening shows but enjoy music (especially live) but did not find either the onboard bands or recorded music selection to be particularly inspired on Celebrity’s part; mostly too dated, too light and just too cliched. There was a duo in the Ensemble Lounge who were talented though. Trivia games were numerous (appreciated) but mostly seemed an afterthought and could have been handled in a much more polished manner.
Cabin 1245 on the tenth deck was outstanding. This concierge class cabin was clean, quiet, fairly roomy and had an extra-large balcony. Everything looked and worked well, especially for being ten plus years old.
Good port with excellent infrastructure, beaches and things to do.
