We chose the cruise because we wanted a smaller ship, heard Viking was terrific, and wanted to go through the Panama Canal. All Viking ocean ships carry no more than 930 passengers. Check! Viking WAS terrific. Check! and we went through the Panama Canal. Check!

We appreciated that every stop had an included excursion. We took advantage of that for some stops and upgraded two because of our interests.

Can't say enough good things about the food, and since we are not cocktail drinkers we survived perfectly well without the alcohol upgrade. We also want to go on and on raving about our stateroom stewards. We could not possibly have found a more cheerful pair!

Cabin Review

Our Penthouse Veranda Stateroom had loads of storage space. Even so, we found our over-the-door "shoe rack" (kept the bathroom counter clear) and wall magnet hooks very handy (great place to hang hats, my small shoulder purse, and sweaty workout clothes).
