Service throughout the ship was extraordinary. Ship itself was beautiful and elegant. Food was delicious and of course plentiful. Scenery and ports were great. Shows were enjoyable. Service in specialty restaurants was sub-par but that’s probably a one off. Don’t do the pre and post excursions. Very disappointing. Almost nothing offered in Venice. We had to leave the hotel (Hilton, which was great) many many hours before the ship left Venice. Should have let us spend a good part of the day in Venice. Do not eat in the restaurant in the Hilton. It was very expensive and the service was terrible. And I mean terrible. Breakfast buffets were very good. Excursions were all excellent. My friend had to go the infirmary for various ailments and the staff there was excellent. We have been on at least fifteen cruises including other Viking cruises and Oceania and this was the best cruise ever.
