We picked this cruise because of the Hawaiian island itinerary. We have sailed with Norwegian several times in the past, but over the last 15 years have done most of our cruises with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity.

If this was my first cruise ever, I probably would never sail again. For what we spent on this cruise, we most certainly are disappointed and promise to never sail with Norwegian again. This cruise was by far the worst experience we have ever had on any cruise ship.

We found out after boarding that they had a severe staffing shortage. We were told by a crewman that they were 40% short on staffing. One of the main dining rooms and a few of the specialty dining rooms were not open for the duration of the cruise. There were long lines to get seated at dinner time and they handed out pagers so they could let you know when you would be seated. This resulted in people crowding the walk ways because the pagers had a limited range.
