We have done more than 30 cruises with Cunard which has always been our first choice for cruising until now! We chose this cruise for the itinerary, including the scenic cruise through the Mull of Kintyre which was truly spectacular and a plus.

Overall the cruise was a big disappointment primarily because the standard of service was not ‘White Star’. In the Princess Grill restaurant, the Maitre D and Head Waiter had absolutely no interest in engaging with guests, totally unacceptable! Our waiter and assistant waiter were excellent and the quality of meals was of the standard we expect. The service in the Grills Lounge was slow as it was in the Commodore Club. Fortunately it was good in the Winter Garden.

The afternoon classical concerts in the Queens Room (13.45 to 14.30) were ruined by other guests passing through, guests talking loudly to each other and those arriving from 14.15 onwards to ‘grab’ their table for afternoon tea which starts at 15.00! Such behaviour was disrespectful to the performers and the audience. Cunard MUST change the venue for these concerts.

Cabin Review

Princess Suite

The in-suite television service is out of date and totally intermittent! Otherwise the suite met our expectations with the exception that daily fresh fruit is no longer an option.
