We have cruised regularly on Cunard cruises for 15 years. The service provided by the waiters, bar staff and our cabin steward was the usual high standard. The food in the Princess Grill in the evenings was good. However the hot meals in the self service Lido were invariably luke warm/cold. The cost of drinks has risen with a large glass of wine costing on average around 13 US dollars.

Our main criticism was with certain aspects of the entertainment. The karaoke night has always been in the Golden Lion Pub. On this voyage there were 2 karaoke nights both of which were held in the night club (Yacht Club). On the first occasion, this went on beyond 12.30 so the dancing in the club started very late. So effectively for many people the night club was not available. There was a slight change on the second occasion when it ended at midnight!

Of greater concern was the lack of enforcement of the rule that under 18s are not allowed in the Yacht club after 11pm. As a result the venue became crowded with teenagers and it was hard to find a seat. This also changed the atmosphere considerably. It seemed that senior staff became aware of the issue but the position did not change.
