We wanted to see a part of the world that is less travel. And we were rewarded. We found the simplicity of the beauty in Norway is what made this country and its people a highlight of our traveling adventures. If the country wasn't enough, the service, the food and the way Viking treats their passengers made this one of our favorite trips. A side note - on the last day of our cruise, as we neared Amsterdam where we were going to disembark and head home, we took our daily Covid test. This time though, I tested positive for Covid despite having been inoculated and boosted. The wife tested negative. The care and empathy from the employees of Viking was impressive and welcomed. My wife went home, she was offered a chance to stay but we have animals at home, and I went to the Ambassador Hotel in the Hague. Viking took care of all the details allowing me to concentrate on getting better. Viking representatives stayed in constant contact to ensure I was doing OK. This was important since I was alone in a foreign country, locked in a room without human contact for five (5) days while trying to recover. After the required ten (10) day recovery period, Viking informed me they had a letter of recovery for the airlines, scheduled a driver to take me to the airport where they rearranged my flight home. If anyone ask me what cruise line I would recommend, there is only one (1) answer, Viking.
