There were very few adventuresome cruises during mid-Covid but Viking provided an outstanding itinerary around Iceland while observing stringent protocols. We provided daily saliva samples, wore comfortable “trackers,” our temperature was tested daily and hand-washing was enforced before dining. We wore masks when outside the cabin but they were not required during dining or cocktails. We were thrilled to be able to go on shore excursions to volcanos, geo-thermal pools, lava parks and natural warm springs. This was a port-intensive cruise which provided a change of scene every day. The crew to passenger ratio was about 3:1. Dining and entertainment was excellent. Complimentary cocktail packages were offered as an incentive to book. The only downside to our cruise was due to weather— we had to by-pass a southeastern port due to strong winds and seas. This gave us an extra day in Reyjkavik which worked out well. Iceland offers amazing topography and Viking offers an amazing cruise.

Cabin Review

Awesome- comfortable, clean, heated bathroom floors. All doors and drawers opened quietly and easily. Well-engineered.
