After moving from Kentucky to Cocoa, FL in early April and spending a month unpacking and getting settled in, we decided that we had earned a weekend getaway. So we booked this 4-day cruise aboard the Carnival Freedom. This cruise was so well-priced with our VIFP membership, we couldn't pass on it. Now living 17 miles from the port, no more airfare to worry about either.

We arrived at the port and parked in the garage there. It was my understanding that the cost was $17 per day. When we paid the fee after the cruise, I had to pay $85. So be ready to be "unpleasantly" surprised.

We headed to the check-in counter for our 10:30am boarding. We presented our Covid test results that we got 3 days prior, finished checking in then headed to the Diamond/Platinum waiting area. We waiting about 30 minutes before boarding the ship.
