We chose this cruise as we wanted to visit Hawaii and the ruby princess seemed like a nice ship.

Embarkment - well what a disaster everyone turned up to embark at the same time which led to massive queues everywhere total chaos took us over 4 long hours to get on board. No apologies no information just felt we were left to get on with it. When we did eventually get on board our madellion class identification was not available which was booked well in advance.

The staff were friendly but there were some we find quite rude. The service was very slow not enough staff to the proportion of the guests took ages to have any meals. The bar service was also the same. The restaurants were good and served very good food the major issue we had was the horizon buffet it wasn’t fully operational which then led to massive queues, not enough tables, staff etc it was awful.

Cabin Review

Our balcony cabin was nice lots of space nice comfortable beds and pillows. Our only issue was that there were no tea making facilities which would have been nice as it would stop guests returning to their cabins with hot drinks which is dangerous as one guest actually fell carrying tea to their cabin.

Our steward was marvellous he gave us all that we asked for e.g bathrobes, buckets of ice. Again the only issue which we were used to was the turndown service at night no chocolate left on the pillow or animals made from towels.

Port Reviews

Ensenada

Our last port after Hawaii prior to returning back to San Francisco one of the better ports we visited easy access to shops bars restaurants very vibrant traditional good place for souvenirs etc although we only had a few hours there
